All joking aside, if people want to debate, I won't stop them (though I don't really like arguing).

@Waltz - if that's the case, what is wrong with you?? Why would want to legalize Euthanasia????

@Cheetahman: it's the best Sonic i've ever played, but i've never been much of a sonic fan, so i won't really get into that one.

It would be nice if there was a sanctioned section in NL for people with a legitimate interest in debating to go. A separate forum that people who were not interested in debating could avoid, but one that people can have weightier discussions if they wish. People who think it's a stupid idea or are worried about being offended wouldn't have to go.

went through that in my debate class. euthanasia should not be legalized, as there is no way to control much of anything once it is. extraordinarily slippery slope. however, if a person wants to die, it's certainly easy enough for them to do so.

That's a simple way of thinking about it. You can assume that, were euthanasia to be legalised, the requisite checks and balances would be put into place to prevent the slippery slope from occuring.

While we at Nintendo Life appreciate good discussion and debate, when it comes to politics and religion and other such touchy subjects, we tend to try to keep them off of the forums due to the fact that many times these topics explode into nothing more than insults and people posting radical views with the only intention of arousing anger among those posting in the topic.

Since this is a gaming site, we'd like to try to keep things as close to gaming-related as possible and leave the touchy subject for the web sites that cater to them. Thanks and we appreciate your understanding on this matter.
