The review has me interested to know how many of you actually enjoy the little mini-game provided within this app. I had overlooked it before when I didn't have a DSi and now it has me slightly interested. I always said I'd get the Mario Calculator but now this Clock is starting to be tempting and I have 200 Points leftover.
Just wondering what people's thoughts are on the Clock. Feel free to throw in thoughts on the Calculator too.
The game is kind of fun, but I do use the alram clock everyday; I juat wish it would ring for longer than 5 minutes!

It's not really much of a game, but it can be mesmerizing as you're near sleep, just collecting those endless coins...
It's a lot like the coins minigame that you can play while listening to your music on the DSi (also mesmerizing if you put on some sleepy or atmospheric music), just a little more complex, since it has more than a mere line of coins: pow blocks, platforms, different shaped sections of coins, mushrooms, etc. The stage changes every 15 minutes on the clock, but there's not a whole lot of variety.

The alarms themselves sound appealing as well. I would love to wake up to the underwater theme for example. I use the DSi's main alarm everyday myself. I think the Clock could be worth it for me. Any thoughts?
As for why I'd spend the 200 on this or the Calculator, the only other things I could get would be MySims Camera or the Illusion stuff...
If you already use the DSi's alarm every day, I'd say that it's well worth just 200 points to get some cool Mario music to wake you up instead. The bonus would be that it has the retro visual theming and the little mini game to play for a couple minutes just before you shut the lid.

I had no idea these silly clocks had alarms on them, not that I use the DSi alarm anyway, but I had been wishing that the music player had an alarm that woke you up to your favourite song.
I like the calculator more because I actually used it. for the alarm clock function...I'm quite sad that I will have to leave my ds on for the alarm clock to work.
For only $2 (U.S.) I give this game a 10 out of 10! I use the alarm clock sometimes and I love the retro feel... this TRULY is worth 200 Nintendo points!!

...and MySims Camera and Illusion stuff would TRULY be a waste of money!! Get Mario Clock and/or Calc. I use them all the time and they are indeed great programs for the money. If you're a fan of notalgia NES/Mario stuff, you'll love it like I do... The newer generation of gamers really don't get it like some of us do.

Its a fun little mini game that is great for killing time waiting for a bus etc. For 200 points this is one of the DSiware titles that I would recommend for someone with points left over or just on a budget and want to fill their system up. Works well as an alarm clock too. Had this just been a clock it would have been a big no no, but as a clock and minigame its well worth the money.

I like the alarms on the Animal Crossing clock but the Mario Clock is more appealing. The Mario Clock is always moving and looks better. The Animal Crossing clock is static. Only clouds move and it will change from day to night and thats it.
I enjoy using the Clock guys. I'm really happy with the 200 Points I spent on it.
Ditto! Great 200 pt purchase!

I enjoy it! Yeah, it's stupid and pointless, but you gotta love that 8-bit Mario! That makes it worthwhile right there! I like it because of that, besides, it wasn't like I had any better way to use my DSi points! And the ability to jump and collect coins is great for just passing time! The Animal Crossing clock seems more like a waste of 200 points!
I also enjoy the Mario Calculator because of the 8-bit Mario, and the unit conversion is quite handy!
