Wasn't it originally a mobile phone game? They announced it for the DSi (Ware?) a while back and it seemed kinda interesting...but it randomly vanished. EDIT: Was browsing through the DSiWare board and found a thread (old one) with almost the exact same title as mine. xD But yeah, hope this wasn't canceled or anything...
You know I hadn't thought about it in a long time. I hope it hasn't been canceled. That game looked like it would have enormous potential. It was actually one of the games that convinced me that, in the hands of a creative developer, the camera could be an effective way to play games.
I just searched it on google, and found some interesting information on the game's website. Apparently, the game is finished or almost finished, but has no publisher. No publisher = no release. Kind of like what about happened to Ghostbusters: The Video Game last year. Below is an excerpt from the game's website.
"Are you a DS games publisher? Would it be of interest for you to publish Ghostwire for DSi? Preferably as a box product, but DSiWare could be an option. A Different Game are looking primarily for a publisher with a strong distribution arm in the US and Europe, but marketing capabilities are of course also important." (http://www.ghostwiregame.com/)
I hope they can find a publisher. This game has great potential and I would love to try it.
"We own all rights to the game and since most of the game development has already been financed by ourselves and our previous publisher, this presents a opportunity."
I do not know if the mobile phone version was released, but if was it may have been released by the game's previous publisher mentioned in the quote.
Stockholm – October 20, 2010. A Different Game, developer of the ghost hunting software “Ghostwire” for the Nintendo DSi, sadly reports that the software’s inventor, lead engineer Åke Bergman, has gone missing. Working from home, his messages became incoherent during early summer and eventually he stopped communicating completely. Strangely enough he has continued to check in code, and occasionally update this Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/akebergman) and Twitter (http://twitter.com/akebergman ) accounts from an unknown location. Any information on Åke Bergman is appreciated, the team reports.
The series of unexpected events ending with the disappearance of Bergman has delayed the release, and the current release date is now unknown. A Different Game is now looking for a worldwide publisher for the Ghostwire game on the Nintendo DSi platform.
Last I heard Majesco, who was originally going to publish the title, went through some restructuring and actually dropped the Ghostwire project. I imagine the developers are still searching for a publisher now. I wish them the best of luck.

It's similar to what happened with Shantae for the Game Boy Advance. It was completed right near the birth of the GBA, but all through the GBA's life Shantae couldn't find a publisher. However, with DSiWare, finding a developer should be easier.
