Paw-sha, this is about the last game I would worry about, I expected this to be a scribblenauts topic...
Millions of DS owner kids + Christmas + an easy game for mom to buy = nintendomination....!
100k in a week is good sales anyway...
Ben Cartwright: You and your education. Adam Cartwright: Education is progress! Now what have you got against it? Ben Cartwright: I don't have anything against education - as long as it doesn't interfere with your thinking!
I think it came out when a lot of good games are coming out -- and I confess I have not bought it yet, instead I bought Scribblenauts, and then I plan to buy Dead Space Extraction this coming week so it will be a while before I get it. Its a first party title so of course it'll sell good.
It doesn't matter if you have an amazing game when you have a marketing campaign that treats the public like idiots and goes against the qualities of the game. Both games are examples of how Nintendo's marketing execs have their heads so far up their rears that they lost all skill in selling games.
Also, I thought this was a topic about Eternal Darkness. lol "This...isn't... HAPPENING!"
Scribblenauts was the best selling game period during its first week on the market. BIS debuted at three or four on the DS front, I think. Crazy how Layton outsold it.
Dude chill, It's a Mario game. it'll be selling months after most of the other big games it released with have fallen off the top ten lists. Be happy it sold 800K copies in a couple of weeks, it took games like No More Heroes three times as long to generate that many sales.
