GoNintendo says that Hudson is making a Tetris as a DSiWare at the moment. I'm happy about that. I want to have every famous puzzle game on the Nintendo DS.. http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=113724
It will probably be the same as WiiWare Tetris Party, minus Balance Board mode and Miis. Tetris Party Deluxe is coming for Wii and DS via retail in June, so those will be the games that have all the improvements over the original.
I'm getting this and Space Invaders Extreme 2 for DSiWare when they are released. I hope that Hudson is wise enough this time to include download play, as Tetris DS (which I lost ) proves that you don't need the extra CPU power to run it (why would it?).
I'm pretty okay.

Wait, quotes should be meaningful? Ugh, fine.

Destroyer360 - I agree with you about DS download play. I mean, you could have an 8 player Mario Kart DS match with only one cartridge FOUR YEARS AGO, and some developers don't even know how to do simple 2 player puzzle matches with one cartridge? It's amazing how some people unexploit the powers of the DS.

It's probably not about developers not knowing how to do it, but deciding not to do it. They probably think "people will buy this if we don't add the extra features, so why add the extra features?"

Who knows. Someone at Hudson probably thought "What if instead of releasing this for only $5 or $8 for a few DS owners what if we instead release this for $30 for every DS owner?" I don't blame Hudson for this. They're probably conserned about if they can make a profit off of a game like this and I think it's just business. If it's good enough to warrant the extra dough needed to purchase it I may still get it, especially if it's better than the version on my cell phone.
I wouldn't be surprised at a retail release. The downloadable previous game was a big success, and since the only competition to Tetris on the DS is the hard-to-find Tetris DS, it would be a no-brainer.
