I like lots and lots of dialog (I really loved the Golden Sun series) so that's not a problem ^^ And I pretty much knew the game was easy, so I'll take it as it is. Oh and I've also heard the game gets progressively more difficult the more you finish it... which is kinda stupid, but also awesome at the same time ! (you could just give it to a friend/younger brother for the first playthrough, then play it when he's done with it, unupgrade the robot, and get crazy with it !)
I don't mind lots of dialogue either (unless it has a bad story, which this game doesn't seem to) and I also like the Golden sun series, I was just saying what ONM thought of it. This does look like a pretty good game so I hope the combat system isn't too repetitive.
For that aspect, no worries, I've played the game nearly 5 hours straight (Japanese version a few months ago) and didn't get bored with it ^^ Can't wait for tomorrow !
Unfortunately, I'm not payed, but I don't want this game to become the next Okami...so, promoting it the best I can.
(Well, I'm still getting a press copy to review it on my French site, but I know, I'll buy another one and probably keep it sealed, as it will have very few copies ^^)
I've heard something like less that 20000 copies for the whole of Europe... which makes sense, since they didn't really communicate on it ! And it seems that my job did manage to bear fruit, as I've raised interest in the game for at least 10 people thet considered buying it after my constant newsing around ot ^^ I sincerely hope that with my upcoming review, it will rise a bit more (I pretty much think it will be overly positive ^^) Oh, and since it is out in the UK this week, I guess James will review it here, no ?
Well, now is the time to take my leave ^^ Gonna go to Paris for an awesome trip and try to get my press copy of the game signed by Nobuteru Yûki (character designer) and CyberConnect 2's boss (and try to hug him !) I'll be back Tuesday, with a lot of awesomeness in my DS !
Well let's just say I invest myself sometimes a bit too much in my texts, almost to the point it becomes a blog... Quite impressive considering the site, but I get away with it even with the honors ^^ (oh and I also work for another French website called Nintendomaine.com, though my presence is very minor in comparison)
On that pseudo-rivalry note, I must take my leave to Japan Expo ! Gotta meet the few fans I have and also hunt for precious little info I'll be glad to share with you (if I get some exclusive info, of course) ! Until next Tuesday, enjoy yourselves and have fun ^^
after a very short tutorial, I am off for real adventuring...
In-game vids don't fill the whole touchscreen, 1/3 of the bottom is cut off, and both sides of the top screen are cut off, but that's because I am playing on a 3DS. Big movies like the intro are only shown on the whole touchscreen. Voices are cute, but it sounds like Zak & Wiki. Don't know if it bothers me in the future. Gameplay is quick, no lag.
Well, it's one of those days again! The shops in my area didn't have it! Even the specialized game shop that I can reach by train didn't have it! There they thought it was delayed! Any ideas what's happening?
"hey a colored instruction manual!!! way to go!!!"
That's probably because Nintendo is the publisher (in Europe)! By the way: I am happy for you!
"Very few copies with Nintendo publishing? Wow?"
Is that the reason why I couldn't get it today? Oh man, that sucks big time! I so hoped that by Nintendo being the publisher, it would be available everywhere. And it would be a little more succesful. Now it seems Nintendo did a half-arsed publishing act on this one. The situation looks bleak now. I will probably never get to play this game!
Well, I live in the countryside and got the game at a small videogamestore... Big Stores like Real, Real is something like Walmart, didn't have it and told me they get new games on monday.
