One thing I've got to say : you'll only have to wait 5 days to see if it'll happen or not (same with Last Story and Xenoblade (I'd say 90%chance on these ones)) ^^
Oh and the new vid is up tomorrow, and if my calculations are correct, it should be with gameplay, since they showed all of the animated cutscenes (spoiling quite a lot of things in the process) in the previous two. Can't wait to get my review copy and give it the best review on the French interwebz !
And it's me again for the Solatorobo weekly update (insert badass jingle here !) : Nothing happened ! (insert badass ending jingle here)
Ok, that was lame, but I just recently discovered that Nobuteru Yûki, the guy who does the artwork, will be in Paris for Japan Expo this year, the same I'll be going there (as a guest, I'm so happy), so I'll just make him make me an autograph till his wrist goes numb moaahahaha ! Or just go towards him and faint...
In other news, the supposedly bi-weekly video has gone missing...for 3 weeks... And if I guess correctly, a demo should come to the Nintendo channel either next Friday or the week after !
8 More days and a rumor just came by : 15 000 ! That's the number of copies of the game in Europe ! It's gonna be a rare thing I'm sure of it ^^
And guess who's gonna have two copies (one probably signed too) ? Me baby ! Me ! (Well, for a small while, as I'll have to give back my press copy to my boss...sadface
Yup, and this IS a thing I regret : nobody pays attention to one of the best games coming out on all platforms in July (in Europe anyway) ! It really is a shame...
I literally barely found out about this game and now I'm really looking forward to it. I might just have to get this day one. (no later then 3 days!) Looks fun, the animated scenes looks great, and I'll gladly support a game like this being localized.
According to Amazon it's coming out in Late September-Early October. That would be for the best since then it won't be in competition with tons of other games. (September is a pretty heavy month)
Also, I'm glad it's coming out in Europe first. That means there's a chance it'll get reviewed by James. I like his reviews.
The first thing I noticed is that the translation is SPOT ON ! Perfect ! I'm getting more and more psyched today, aven more since my boss told me he received TWO press copies, so I can keep one for myself as a reward for being the biggest rep for the game ^^ Can't wait to get it Thursday, despite the fact the postal services smashed the boxes, bummer ^^'
Me again ^^ (Who did you expect up at that point ?^^) Just wanted to say : if you are still curious about the game, all the crispy details are revealed on the official website of the game : http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/games/nds/solatorobo_red_... But I have to warn you : DO NOT look the "Art of Solatorobo" section UNTIL you've completed the game ! There is some potentially spoiler heavy stuff, as I've (sadly) seen. One picture might explain a huuuge thing ! So I've warned you ! Besides, all of the DAHAK pieces needed to obtain the wallpaper are scatered in every section except that one !
While you're at it, don't watch the first trailer that automatically plays when you open the site. Nevermind it's trailer 2 now. I'm not sure exactly how much it spoils, but I'm still in the process of forgetting all of the major details of it. Seriously, why'd they even put that on there?
Probably to try to say that there's more to the game than meets the eye and feed our curiosity... Unfortunately, it also heavily spoils the second story... And unfortunately for me, I receive the game in 2 days... So yup, can't be unseen...
After seeing some gameplay, my anticipation for this game has decreased as the battle system looks very repetitive and looks like it could get boring quickly.
EDIT: I've just read ONM's review of it and they praised the story, saying that it starts off predictable but then gets more unpredictable later on and they especially liked the cast of characters. Despite this, they still thought there was too much dialogue and thought it could get tiresome, even though they thought it was well written and translated. They said that the combat system, while quite a simple one, still found it to be surprisingly enjoyable and said that while you could get tired of it by the end of the first game, the second adds more to it to make it more interesting. They also seemed to find the sky racing sub game to be highly enjoyable. One of their main complaints was that it was too easy, saying that the enemies never give you much trouble, most of the puzzles could be solved in about five seconds and that they only died once which was in a final boss fight. The score they gave it was 81%
