So some on here already know this is coming and in 3 seperate games (Nintendos fine little limitations they have) but nonetheless it coming and all I have to say is "Thank You Matt Bozon and you guys/gals at Wayforward cause you saved my little DSi from Ebay Doom cause that is where it was headed until I say that Shantae was coming to DSiWare". Seriously the service is very lacking and overpriced so to finally see a Polished Game coming that isn't a puzzle whatever and its Shantae has me really really excited. What do you guys think? I still havent gotten my hands on a copy of Shantae yet.... maybe a future rerelease/update if possible in the future?

I don't have a DSi, so I can't play the game when it comes out =(

I want it, but I hope it's 500 points. Perfect price for an episodic games series.

Yeah guys looks like about anything that comes out will need to be episodic to be a full game because the size limitations are kinda crazy. But ill pay $10 USD for all of them happily.

@WhoKnew..... dude so is PSP Minis. It released with 6 Minis to download and a couple of new PSP downloadable games, plus the UMDs were translated to DLC wich put it at 250+ games available for download at launch last Thursday. DSiWare is not that new anymore and still have very little content. Sorry but its the worst download service on the market and coming form the #1 company in the world. That is unexcusible.

wait you do realize that the PSP download service sucks....there are 250 full retail games because they dont play UMB games....the DSi plays the like 5,000+ DS games that are out....and there is NO UMD conversion either...and i looked up some gmae prices the PSP Go = 30 bucks for the ratchet and clank game while its only 12 as a UMD so really it sucks ass

@smithers43..... its a personal preference I guess. I have both systems and my DSi literally collects dust while I play my DS Lite and the PSP actually has good prices on SOME of the download games. Yes you can get some of the UMDs cheaper wich is why I have a PSP 2000 model not a Go.

Absolutely not. They had well over a year before and after Japans release to make good DSiWare games.
They had lots of time to woo third parties to support it.
They also learned their lessons with WiiWare on making a launch good.

There is absolutely ZERO excuses for DSiWare being less than good right out of the box.
Yes it'll get better in the months that pass, but Nintendo had no excuse other then sheer stupidity and laziness for having DSiWare sucks SO much when it started up.... No excuse.

At $30, I'd rather it just come out as a full retail game. Even $24 (assuming they're all $8) it might as well come out retail. More convenient to have 1 game than 3 separate games. imho.

Yay! Another excuse for me to weave in my desire for a DSi VC on the Club Nintendo post play survey. I think they actually read them, since they give you rewards for it. I also like to include how much i would pay for the games, so in case they haven't figured out, it's easy money. It probably doesn't help, but I figure it can't hurt. One day....hopefully....

A quick look at the combination of my DSi memory, and my SD card yeilds the following games that I genuinely enjoy on a regular basis, and consider good value for the $10 or less that I spent on them:

2-in-1 Solitaire
Dragon Quest Wars
Mixed Messages
Sudoku 150!
Aquite
A Little Bit of... Puzzle League
A Little Bit of... Brain Training, Maths Edition
Boxlife
Code
Intersect
KuBos
Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
Nemrem
Paper Plane
PiCOPiCT
Pop Superstar
Pop+ Solo
Sujin Taisen
Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam

The "little bit of" games are both ones I would never pay full price for, but as cheap downloads, I find awesome value. The bolded games are ones I would genuinely pay full price for a retail package, as the online multiplayer capabilities are brilliant.

Now, beyond that, the following applications I have also downloaded, and get full value out of:

Flipnote Studio
MySims Camera
Nintendo DSi Browser
Facebook upload firmware update
City Transport Maps #1 and #2

Again, I would pay retail price for Flipnote - I find it that enjoyable.

Now, the following are games I have downloaded, but haven't enjoyed. However, comments on this forum by many other users indicate that they do get value out of them:

Asphalt 4
Brain Challenge
Real Football 2009

So, out of all that, I have to wonder - how the hell can you be disappointed with DSiWare? Especially considering there is a LOT of quality software on the way, and a LOT of software already available in other regions that isn't in your own (Sujin Taisen for Americans, Art Academy for Europeans springs immediately to mind).

No, I think your expectations are ridiculous, and rather than enjoying what there is, you'd rather complain over, and over, and over again. Considering there are a TONNE of DSi retail games available, and the other functions of the DSi (camera, music player), if you are disappointed with it, it really is your loss - because, objectively speaking, it's a great console with a good online service that is developing nicely.

Im very suprised this thread has turned into this. I really thought Shantae would be a major topic for discussion for DSiWare, Im really hopin these games dont go the way of Mighty Flip Champs and not sell. Its one of the best on the service and my fav DSi Download.
