I'm very curious, as well. I have Rayman Advance, and want to know how it compares. I sure didn't expect it to be a port of the original Rayman when we first heard of this!

So, it's basicly the original Rayman on DSiWare? Niiiiice. I hope it's much better than Rayman Advance.

@Ninten: That seems to imply you think there's something wrong with Rayman Advance. Is there? I don't recall hearing anything against it before...
Maybe it's just me, but I didn't like the GBA port that much. I think the audio wasn't the best. :/

I own the PS1 version too! It was my first PS1 game which I bought myself.

I'd say its very well worth it. I downloaded it today (Along with myNotebook Red _) Its the best version since the PS1 version IMO. It plays exactly like it except you start with more health, it tracks your achievements, and it takes your picture when you reach a checkpoint. (Kind of cool actually since you get three files you can see who last played your game. It also has a cool frame but doesnt seem to save =( ) Any other questions you may have?

I had Rayman on the Saturn and though it looked great, I didn't like it so much to play, I guess this is the very same game? Rayman 2 was great though, especially on Dreamcast.
The extra health would be a hold-over from the GBA version. A good thing, IMO, as the original Rayman can get pretty darned hard!
@Ninten: You're comparing the audio of a PS1 game with the audio of a GBA port. Of COURSE the latter is inferior!
I'm actually more interested in how the visuals hold up. As I recall, the GBA version, while quite nice to look at, was inferior to other versions in that respect as well. I first played the game on the Atari Jaguar (still have it, too), and it definitely did look better than on GBA.

Those I mentioned were the only one's i could find unfortunately, I went back to messing with myNotebook and PSZ >_>. I'll check when I finish the quest.

The touch screen is a large map of each level. Neat, but not very useful.
It's a decent game. A great representation of Rayman. It's very pretty -- the comical animations are fantastic -- and the platforming, while nothing revolutionary, is solid. The sound seems a little off to me, but I'll figure that out later. And of course, it's a furry-esque game, so the narrative is nothing special. But the visuals and platforming make it a decent purchase.
I honestly can't decide. I've been planning on getting a Saturn copy. I loved playing it when I was young. I wanna get a portable version, but I can't decide whether to buy it on the DSi or on the PSP off of PSN when I get one. Hmm...
