First of all, apologies in advance if anyone thinks this thread should be part of the general discussion for this game, but I don't.
I can't get multiplayer to work properly using 3DS systems. Anyone else having this problem? I can host a game on 3DS and it will sometimes appear in the list of games on the other 3DS system but you just can't actually connect to it (the little dot that acts as a cursor disappears).
I've been able to connect a DSi to a 3DS host, but can't connect a 3DS to a DSi (or 3DS) host.
Is anyone else having this problem? Or has anyone successfully played multiplayer with 2 (or more) 3DS systems?

If it's a regional thing then that's stupid. My girlfriend and I have played together on our 3DS's without problem. Both are from the same region though.
@ChibiLink - It very probably is a region thing. I probably can't go into details for NDA reasons, but basically the developers have to specifically add cross region compatibility and this then slows down the submission process because Nintendo in each region has to test each version of the game rather than just their own.

I'm still having problems getting 3DS systems to play friendly with this game, but have now managed to get 3 of them into a multiplayer game. I had to create a host first (obviously!) then boot up the game and join with the other (it really seemed like it didn't want to join, but it worked in the end), then boot up the 3rd machine and join with that. Once connected, they were happy but getting the initial connection was a pain.
