This is my first time playin this game and im gald that i spent my last 800 points that i had on my XL before gettin my 3DS. And so far i like it, its not hard for a first timer and it may get harder as i go on, but im havin fun!
a snippet from the jan 18 press release from popcap
"In the next several weeks, PopCap will also launch a DSiWare version of Plants vs. Zombies. The title will contain Adventure mode gameplay, all four of the new mini-games from the DS adaptation and one DSiWare exclusive mini-game, Zombie Trap"
those are the only things included in the DSiWare version in case anyone is asking
wonder why nintendo is saying 5 game modes then .. they really need to take that down
Even if it only includes the main game and 5 minigames (no survival, no mp, no zen, no puzzle, etc) it is still a very good game. Think of Ivy the Kiwi?, that game pretty much did the same thing. I mean, if they released the full game for only 8 dollars (and available anywhere with internet), that would kill the $20 retail version sales!
The main game is long enough to keep you busy for some time, and the (why only 9? I don't see the need to cut the others) achievements and minigames shoud work after that (i just unlocked the achievement for not using sun in a night level!)
I thought you guys said 5 minigames. There are 20! I have unlocked only 3, though.
Oh, also, the game does slow down a bit when the screen is very crowded. I don't know if the DS version had worse moments, but so far it is not bothering me.

5 game modes not minigames.... i really never seen an issue with slowdown until like stage 4-8 and later
i beat the 3 mini games and up to stage 3 -6 and spent 3 hours into the game...
i think the main story is like 6 to 8 hours probally 3 to 5 hours on mini games (the cart was a lot longer
so about a 10 hour game.....i think if i knew it was this badly ripped i would just went for the cart verison o well
Review is up on the main page. Only thing I'm curious about is the DSiWare exclusive Zombie Trap. I haven't found any videos or details anywhere. Can someone who has played it tell me what that is all about?
What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.
anyone know how to beat the first mini game where the zombies have the plant heads and fire back...
got a responce back from nintendo.. someone took the DS cart info and posted in the dsiwere info by mistake... the dsiwere game only has 1 game mode (adventure) they offer a refund if i would delete the game (they said they would take it step by step , guess there is a way to remove the game 100% out of the system....... i told them just forget about it... was little po when it first happen but i think i will get my 6 bucks of happyness out of it LOL
I asked PopCap because I didn't find any information and thought people other than myself might wanna know about the DSiWare exclusive Zombie Trap minigame, here's the response from Popcap:

The Zombie Trap minigame works by using the stylus to drag a brain around as a lure for the zombies on screen so that you can get them all into the same area and drop a trap over them. It is a minigame created to add an exclusive feature to the DSiware version, as that version is unable to contain other features due to file size limitations compared to DS cartridge versions. We hope this helps.

that is sort of lame about the size of downloads i mean Why cant the download be the same size as a Ds cart... people can buy memory cards to hold the games if needed..
Then again i shouldnt give nintendo ideas like that or they will start charging 30 bucks for a game dowload like sonydoes with the psn games
Huh... Well, it took me quite some time and you all probably played it already but i finally played zombie trap.
It was great (if a little short). You start with 3 brains and 7 cages and you need to drag the brain around to lure zombies to the center of your yard and then drop a cage to trap them in (where some crows will deal with them). Trap 5 zombies and you get 1 extra brain and cage, but the cage may crush some zombies itself, these are not counted. Zombies are much faster in this minigame than in the main game and still try to get in to your house, shall they enter your house or you lose all your brains/cages and it's a game over. Trap 35 and you win.
