Topic: M&L Bowser Inside Story: Beating it then saving...

Ok so earlier today I finally beat Mario & Luigi Bowser Inside Story (the best DS game ever). Once I beat it I went throught the credits, and saw the secret ranks, blah, blah, blah. Once all that was over it went back to the AlphaDream screen, then to the file select screen and saw that the same exact time was there. I clicked on my file, and I found myself back before the final boss.
If anyone knows how to save after beating the final boss please tell me how.

I'm pretty sure you can't save after the final boss, but why would you want to? If you want to gain more experience and items, there's nothing stopping you from doing that with the final boss still unbeaten. If it's the secret ranks you're worried about you can get them without beating the final boss, it just tells you about them after you do that.

You can't. You beat the final boss, you go back to the credit screen, and that's it. Same deal with Partners in Time. I'm sure Superstar Saga does this too, but I'm not entirely sure. I know, it sucks. It would really be nice to have evidence that you beat the game...

What about the Secret Ranks? If you get them then beat it will it let you save?

No. But it would save all progress up to the point where you are at the boss. I don't really understand the want for saving though. If you save, you get to play through all the side-quests, but there be no last boss to defeat. Its really the same game, even if you beat the boss, you know you did, and I don't know why you need it to be shown.

This seems like a big problem in many RPGs. You can't keep going after you finish the game. However, some RPGs fix that by adding some sort of New Game+ mode. (Thank you Tales of Symphonia)
