Topic: Four Swords

I'm not really able to rewatch the 3DS stream at the moment (i'm at work D: ) but i can't remember for sure — did they say it was gonna be multiplayer-only? i know the GBA version was, but if they were to base it on the GC version, that version was playable by one person...

I do know some people to play it with, but I would much rather Nintendo go the route of Single-player and Multi-player. Four Swords was such a fun game, and I'd hate to have to be with people to enjoy it fully. I missed out on the first because of that.

I'm pretty sure they didn't say anything on the matter. All they said is that it was going to be free.

I hope it has online MP. If so I'd track down a DSi in a heartbeat.

@Retro: i remember them stressing the multiplayer, but i can't recall if they out-and-out said it'd be only playable via co-op. definitely heard the 'free' part, though, haha~

If they don't include a single-player mode, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's gonna say "What's the point of it being free if you can't do anything with it?" I just don't know anyone else who I could play this with on a consitsent basis

lol if they make it multiplayer-only, i do hope they include a wi-fi option as well as local wireless. playing with some of my internet friends would be awesome~ :3

@Birdman13- I think the point of it being free IS that you really can't do much with it without having some other condition being fulfilled (in this case, having other people with a 3DS/DSi to play it with). That way, its not too good to be true. Having a Zelda game on DSiWare that can be played as a single-player experience IS too good to be true. The day Nintendo gives out out something like that for free will be the day Hell freezes over. Still, one can only hope.

Is this about 4 Tingles?

I would hope it's online, but I doubt it. I don't think Nintendo would do that, but it is free, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was local only. One can hope though

Dang, free Four Swords? I need this!

For its local multiplayer to succeed, it really needs DS Download Play so DS/DS Lite owners can play it with us. If it has online multiplayer, I may never leave the house. o:

It's the same as the GBA Four Swords, just now depends on how they make the multiplayer work.

If it is a port of the Game Boy version, why not make it on 3ds VC? I won't mind the lack of online if you can play it single player. Wouldn't it be awsome if A Link to the past was included? Not likely, but still...

@yoyogamer - It's coming to DSiWare, which means you will also be able to download it from the eShop. No problems there.
