Topic: DS Lite Retired

The only handheld console (currently) where you could play all of the main Pokemon games. You will be missed. :,)

I dont know about every Target but my Target still sells the DS lite but they always have them in a case at the bottom of the DS games so unless you knew where to look you would miss it. In fact they still had some there when I went to pick up NSMB2 the other day.

The DS lite is dead and got took over by the DSi.

I retired my DS Lite after I got my DSi and after I got it signed by Reggie.

I don't want to sound like a smart ass, but the DS Lite could not play GB/CBC games, so it didn't have the ability to play Red/Blue or Gold/Silver.

I got a black DS Lite with Namco Museum DS back in December 2007 after taking a break from the DS in favor for the Wii. My DS Lite is broken now, but luckily, it broke only 2 weeks before I got my 3DS.

One can get almost any GBA one can think of rather cheaply online... not to mention many many many GB and GBC carts that same way.
I have kept my old SP around just for these old tryed and true gems. My DSI XL is still a joy for me...and IF the government ever drops 200 bucks or so on me at Tax time I might just bite the bullet and get the 3dsXL as well. I owned 2 ds's in my game life time both were not as sturdy as they might be ...having both broken at the hinge.... with no apparent reason since I am extremely careful with my hand held systems. So no great LOSS here.

I loved my Onyx Black DS Lite. It's my brother's now, but we had a good run...until the L and R buttons broke...and the hinge... But before that, everything was amazing.

Wouldn't suprise me. It has been in stores a long time. I knew it wasn't going to retire just yet when the DSi came out, but since the 3DS came out, not many people have bought the DS lite, so I guess it's retirement for it. R.I.P. DS lite.

Well, anyway, the DS Lite was the only DS I every got (until I got my 3DS). I went through two black ones, and they have provided me with some of the best gaming experiences of my life! RIP DS Lite!

My first DS was a Lite, I eventually got a DSi, now I've got my 3DS. I think it was a bummer that the DSi didn't have that GBA slot. Ah well, I always have my GBA SP to play, along with Pokemon Gold ;D Anywho, the DS Lite was pretty awesome. So... R.I.P.

I have 2 working DS Lites and they won't be retired any time here. My local WalMart still has a couple of new ones available for $99.99.
