do any dsiware games have download and play(one copy of game) multiplayer games and if so, would it be possible to play them on a lite?

Yeah, there's a couple. Pop Island for one.

I don't think they can play on a DS Lite, but DSi and up for sure.

I'm pretty sure that they work on a lite. I've played pop island with my sister, and she used a lite.

if it's Download Play, it can be played on a lite or phat with a DSi hosting. it's Wireless Play that can only be played between DSi systems (because both have to have the same game going at the same time).

Well whaddya know. Thats pretty neat, only if I had a DSi.

there's not many games that do Download Play, though -- that's the only problem, lol

And that's probably because of the 4 MB data limit that can be send to another DS.

Doesn't Mario Kart have that ability?

There's a few Japanese titles as well, at least two of them being mahjong games (Handy Mahjong and at Enter! Mahjong). Frankly I'm surprised to see any DSiWare games supporting download play - pretty cool to think I could get a two-player mahjong game going with some random person even if they were unable to buy the game from the Japanese shop themselves!

I think there might be more DSiware games than full retail with download play! Well probably not but how many worthwhile retail games have it, only a few.

Downloaded pop island, not bad for $5. Also according to the descriptions, the club house games have download play.
