Nintendo really needs to re-release all their GB and GBA games so DSi piracy can go down.

@03bgood: I don't get your logic. How would a DSi VC make piracy go down?

Did he even give a reason or had proof to why?

@Stuffgamer1: I don't know why I said that because piracy hasn't gone down with the Virtual Console because people still pirate VC games everyday so it won't be any different with the Virtual Handheld.

The Big "N" will release VC on the DSi,im sure of it...trust me..

That's right. With a few exceptions for games simply not available in certain regions for a long time, people who steal games generally don't stop stealing them because they are offered the option of paying for them. The Virtual Console is aimed squarely at the law-abiding-type citizen who will either buy the game or not play it at all.

He told me that the reason why (i dont believe him now) was GB GBC GBA games would have to basically be made to fit the screen cause of the difference of the Lite to the DSi saying the game would look stretched out & not looking like the Originals on the Ds Lite (thats all that he said) i laughed when i got home from work that night xD!

... wow. i would have been hard-pressed to not confront him about the Phoenix Wright games on the spot (which are basically GBA ports themselves and look just fine on both the DS Lite and the DSi)... not to mention that all DS games are displayed larger on the DSi with no real problems (not that I've noticed, anyway). it's one thing to say 'I'm sorry, but the President of NoA himself has said 'no' to that possibility when asked', but it's a jerk move entirely to come up with a flat-out lie like that.

I know i laughed about it thinking God & he's a Nintendo Rep i should have just asked GB VC Yes Or No & have him answer eithier one of those 2 instead he trys to talk for like 2 minutes wasting time & air xD!

I'm still not sure why people are so skeptical about the DSi VC. We already know a Nintendo rep slipped the news of the DSi Virtual Console at the GDC. Now granted they've since hushed it all up, but I can't imagine them not announcing this feature at E3.

I think too that they will show it at E3, they already showed a New Zelda+Storage solution @GDC so they need something big for E3(an they would be stupid if they don't because if you buy a GB game on ebay Nintendo doesn't make profit but with VC they would earn at least 2€/$)

GDC was amazing for Nintendo, as was the media summits. I hope this means good things for e3. I still am keeping my expectations low so that anything that's not Pikmin 3 will wow me.

That's not necessarily true anyway. They don't HAVE to make the games fit the screens, they could just put borders around them! I'm pretty sure that's the only way to make original Gameboy games not look HUGE and pixelated on the DSi screen, since that thing's screen was so tiny by comparison. Heck, there's even a border around the game when you play a GBA game on a DS Lite! So yeah, that guy was even more full of it than I had thought.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense, because gba games play on DS lite just fine. Also, gba had the option of stretching gb/gbc games to fit the screen or having a border. It wouldn't be too difficult to implement something like that on the DSi.

I remain cautiously optimistic for an E3 announcement. I honestly wouldn't be surprised either way though.

Nintendo is very big about denying and then at e3 or tgs showing what we predicted but they denied!
I hope there will be a game boy vc and with nintendo getting spooked (in there words) about Japan sales, there going to try to wow us this June and maybe a game boy virtual console is it!

if they can make the same game but on a difrant cartradge with the same graphics as the gba cartridge like they did with pokemon mystery dungon they had red rescue team for gba and blue resecue team for the ds cartradge yet they still had the same graphics then it is possible to do this

Three things
1. Maby he was lying, y would he tell a random person about it.
2. Maby he dosent even no for sure about wether or not it will come out
3. If u want to play gameboy games, USE A GAMEBOY!

"Use a Gameboy"? If the goal is portable gaming, what could be worse than having to bring multiple systems and many games with you? Maybe you wear super baggy cargo pants, but I can hardly fit a DS Lite in my pocket, and even then it's not particularly comfortable. A GB VC on DSi would be a godsend. DLC makes perfect sense for handhelds, and if there's no DSi VC announced in two days, I think the PSP Go will be the way to go.

There's also the ease of availability to consider. Download on DSi VC is easier than buy on eBay. Probably cheaper in many cases, too. By the logic asserted by catcher82511, the Wii VC shouldn't exist either and we should use our old systems to play THOSE games, too. Not a good suggestion, particularly for those uber-rare games and whatnot.

That sucks. I'm rather fond of Monster Rancher Advance games. Lucky me I still have an original DS along with my DSi.
