Art Style: BOXLIFE Review Once again, Nintendo scores a hit with it's new game in an awesome franchise.
Pros: -Well crafted puzzles -funny music -factory mode is fun -not to difficult -fun to watch your charachter grow into a diffrent uniform -Nice, breezy fun
Cons -controls can be sticky for some people. -not quite as exciting as other DSiWare art style games
i went ahead and got it before anyone had a chance to post their impressions. the controls are a little sticky (sometimes i have problems getting that first box in a group to start folding, but once one's been folded the rest are fine), and it's no pictobits, but it's still kinda fun. we'll see how i feel about it in a couple days, lol. :3

i just noticed this but at the end of the theme music it sounds as if they say hacolife, which happens to be the Japanese name of the game. I just felt like saying that since nobody mentioned it.

Great game, love the music, however. The game doesn't always recognize your stylus, making you mess up making a box, breaking a chain or losing valuable seconds.
The whole point to going back (Upgrading your little land mass) seems moot. Since you can't actually interact with it, you're basically upgrading the title screen little by little.
It's a great game, but I like Pictobits better, and Boxlife is better then Aquia.
What is all this about lack of control recognition? The controls are nearly flawless for me. Mabey it's because i had the japanese version so long ago but the controls couldn't be more spot on, especially considering the complex task at hand.
I really love this game! Downloaded it today and already I'm on Level 3. Some great stuff here! I am hoping that more Art Style games get released soon in the U.S. that are over in Europe. Love it! Worth the 500 for the download...

ugh, R&D Mode is killing me, but i love Factory mode. D:

there is problem in stylus recognition, especially in the factory mode
The only thing I could think about that you're talking about is not being able to make cutouts from the middle of the paper. You can only make cuts into it from the edges.
I also haven't had any problems rolling up boxes. **shrug**

I'm enjoying it greatly so far, as everything I expect from an Art Style game is here: clean but cleverly styled presentation, great music, simple but rewarding puzzle gameplay.
So far, I greatly prefer the R&D mode to the factory, since there I have a finite set of puzzles to solve within a time limit, but I'm sure the factory mode will grow on me in time. I think it's just that I prefer the game as a puzzle that demands perfection, ie. cutting the boxes perfectly as to use every square, and the factory mode is more a matter of strategic give and take, where you'll certainly have to waste some paper in order to get all the bombs effectively.

I agree with you, Warioswoods... I like the R&D mode since it seems like it kind of coaches you along whereas in Factory mode its a huge clean sheet o paper and you have all them bombs and... its just too much some days. LOL! Sometimes I have to "be in the mood" to play this, but when I do, I sure love it... Still haven't gotten anything for the home screen yard tho!

I had to pick up this review on top of the two I have already done, but I'll get this Art Style: BOXLIFE review completed as quickly as possible. I've already begun playing it. We're sorry for the slight delay. Our regular reviewer had a conflict come up.
