Been playing Chibi Robo, noticed some rainbow looking vertical marks. Which are guess are scratches. Which is how I use the water gun in a vertical motion.
I mean I am ok with it, it's not noticeable (or much) when I play, unless there is a white screen but is this common? I try to use the touch screen as gently as possible.
Like the above guy said yes eventually your 3DS will get scratches. Just don't bang it around too much and you should be able to avoid most of them. It's not rocket science. Take care of your stuff and It'll take care of you.

After my first (original) DS got pretty badly scuffed on the screen, I refused to even touch the screen before having a screen protector for the rest of them! Especially on a 3DS they're necessary, even on the top screen!
