Well, i got this one too, but i won't be able to play it as much i'd like (damn dogs ate my charger).
From the few minutes i have spent with it it i can tell this much...

The games graphics are corrected (dolphins have two fully-working eyes. unlike the unfortunate sharks), places, items and stuff look different (mayne even better), but is it implied to be the same place (aqua park).
Your dolphin won't suffer like your sharks do after playing mini games, so you can pretty much play mini games as much as you want, which is good. BUT Games give less money than in the first game.
The minigames are all different (- the vet minimage, which is the same) and seem to be more responsive than the ones in the sharks version, the games themselves may take some time to understand, though...
The music is also calm and nice, it reminds me of the original sims. And changing music is not as noticeable as it was in the sharks one.

Other than that it is the game is pretty much the same, and my opinions about the first game are valid for this one too.

I also played the original PC game, and let me say, these DSiWare versions are just so MUCH better.

I recommend this to anyone who likes pet games as i do and pleople with kids too.

edit: oh yeah, the games, there is a catch the ball one where you need to press an in-screen button when the ball is in the red area of a bar.
there is a "simon" game with cards, you need to wait before clicking another card because the game takes its time to read your taps.
there is a seaching game where you need to color a certain number of a certain figure, hidden in a pool of different figures.
there is a ring jumping game where you need to draw a line directing to where you think the ring will be next, for the dolphin to jump it.
finally there is a ball matching game (ball fighters balls!), each ball has a set amount of time and you need to match as many as you can. This one is weird.
Games yield less money than in the first game.

The contest game also changed, instead of eating fishies you need to touch the desired shape.
