This game is three months old, so why the heck wasn't there already a topic for it?
Anyway, I picked this gem up recently with it being on sale, and despite the somewhat bland graphics and music, I've found it to be really good so far. However, the manual is a piece of crud, only giving you a listing of the controls. Someone not familiar with Metroidvania games could get completely lost with how this game works.
Well anyway, I've picked up a couple of gun upgrades, but I'm not sure how to make the best use of them. What exactly does each gun do? How do multiple upgrades affect each one? Can I reassign the upgrades later? What do people think are the best guns to upgrade and use?
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
You can reassign the points. I didn't find much use in messing with the gun upgrades as the adventure is over before I found any certain upgrade to make a difference.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
Personally I think the damage upgrade is the most useful one. Each level takes 2 gun points to upgrade, but it's worth it. I've been going mainly with that and the shooting rate upgrade. The wave upgrade is pretty cool too though.
I got it on sale and was having fun, however I got stuck on a cheap boss that seems very hard to avoid, haven't played it for a few days butt I will probably played again today or tomorrow.
Anybody that doesn't know, this works just like OlliOlli and you can dl it for free on any accounts linked to the Wii U. I'm putting it on all the kids 3ds systems as well.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

Is that US? I hope I didn't miss an EU sale for it?

His User Profile says Canada, so I don't think you missed a sale for it. Did Xeodrifter release in EU? I remember hearing Renegade Kid was having trouble with that region.

@Octane: Awesome, I totally recommend this game to people. It is a little basic but I enjoyed it a lot. With the cross-buy stuff it is totally worth the $10 now.

I just completed Xeodrifter on my PS4, great game!
I still wonder what happened with the European Wii U release... Jools Watsham said that it was in the rating process of PEGI. In the meantime the PS4 version got announced and it was released on the PS4 and Vita in Europe a while back. Still no word on the Wii U version...

Sacrilege! Those, and it's pacing and toughness are the best parts.
