@iKhan Is that better overall than Life Orb Nidoking? I'd love to see Mega Nidoking since Nidoking is one of my favorite Kanto Pokemon.

Actually probably not. But I have no idea how to go about it realistically AND make it better than LO Nidoking. Ideally, I'd like to see Nidoking be able to Mega-Evolve w/o a stone.

Mega Haxorus

Type: Dragon/Steel
HP: 76
Atk: 200 (+53)
Def: 100 (+10)
SpA: 60
SpD: 94 (+24)
Spe: 110 (+13)
Ability: ???

Multiscale, intimidate, tough claws, or own tempo.

For once the random steel typing I agree with.. it turns a lot of SE hits neutral. Ground weakness hurt though.. lack of steel type moves other than iron tail (terrible) isn't good either.

@iKhan Yeah not having to use a stone would definitely work in Nidoking's favor. Then again, that might be enough to make it Uber.

@MegaBeedrill The ground weakness could be useful actually. Good for luring in EQ in order to switch into things that are immune to it. Of course that's also really predictable too.

I think he might be able to forgot about the ground weakness tbh. After a dragon dance everything scarfed is outsped.

(Custom Calc Modifaction / 200 Base Attack / 100 Base Defense / Clear Body / Pokemon Species: Haxorus)
252+ Atk Mega Haxorus Outrage vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Landorus-T: 231-273 (60.4 - 71.4%) — guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
4 Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Haxorus: 150-177 (51.1 - 60.4%) — guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Mega Haxorus Outrage vs. 0 HP / 24 Def Landorus-T: 318-375 (99.6 - 117.5%) — 93.8% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Haxorus: 178-210 (60.7 - 71.6%) — guaranteed 2HKO

(DD negates intimidate, I used clear body to show this in the damage calcs.)

Steel typing is solely useful due to the additional defensives typing. (Not being revenge killed by t-flame, scizor, and pinsir is big too!)

Own Tempo + Outrage sounds scary.

Needs more Iron Head.

No to this entire idea. For one, why does Luxray need a signature ability? Strong Jaw would be fine. Second, that ability would be way OP.

Lightningrod would be good defensively because of the Electric immunity, but offensively it doesn't really benefit as much because it doesn't have a lot of Special moves.

I think it'll run like this,
Pokemon Z: Mega Starters
Pokemon 7th gen: 2nd gen starters and 4th gen starters get a mega, with more pokemon from those gens getting mega's as well, hopefully we get Mega Rampardos and Bastidon here and the third 7th gen game will have 7th gen starters megas
it'll kinda go in a pattern from here

Those are all good abilities you've suggested. I don't know which one to pick.

I don't necessarily think giving a steel typing to Haxorus is random. To me, regular Haxorus has always looked more like a steel type than some other pokémon with that typing( Lucario).

Maybe he could learn Iron Head in the next game(s).

Ironically iron head and iron tail are both move tutor moves in ORAS.. he can only learn iron tail though.

Oh, and if Mega Hax is going to go with Tough Claws, they should give him Metal Claw.

@Bolt_Strike okay I see your point on the last ability I said but still thing it needs something other then Strong Jaw how about the ability Thick Fur where you get no damage from abilities like Rough Skin or moves like Hail or Spikes
And fixes it Speed

Mega Ninjask

Hp: 61
Atk: 140 +50
Def: 70 +20
SpA: 50
SpD: 75 +20
Spe: 160

Ability: Technition/Aerilate

I think this would work. Aerilate boosted returns from base 140 attack isn't too shabby. Combine that with the utility of baton pass and it's not too different from mega blaziken. Technition would work as well consituring bug bite and aerial ace are boosted by it but personally I think aerilate would be better.

Eel

I can predict one:

-a non-evolving pokemon nobody uses competitively, but everyone wants to see gain a normal evolution.
-it will get stat boosts in hp, defenses and the wrong offensive stat, of course not in speed.
-it's mega ability will seem awesome at first, but it won't have any real use for this particular pokemon.

Mega Lapras confirmed?

I'm predicting this:

Mega Chesnaught
Mega Delphox
Mega Greninja
Mega Butterfree
Mega Slowking
Mega Froslass
Mega Lanturn
Mega Flygon
Mega Goodra
Mega Krookodile
Mega Kingdra
Mega Mienshao
Mega Marowak
Mega Gothitelle
Mega Jynx
Mega Hawlucha

Along with a few others, though I don't really know. I'm predicting there will be around 20-25 new Megas introduced in this year's game.
