I was thinking of buying the new 3DS but also i own a PS4. I have the option of buying 2 PS4 games: 1) Uncharted 4
2)You recommend me. I have been thinking that in which console will the games be fun? This year Uncharted 4 seems alot of fun and has awesome graphics and gameplay. The 3DS has like 5x bad graphics than PS4 but i also am interested in its exclusives: Pokemon, Marios 3D Land, Zelda. Soo what should i buy? Most of the handhelds (like the PSP) feel boring after sometime on the other hands console games last much longer. If you think i should buy 2 PS4 games which will be the secong game? Will you recommend me a good one?

@Malan If you want to play 3DS games, why buy a new 3DS? Why not just buy a regular 2DS? A lot cheaper and a better solution if you're only planning on playing a handful of games.

As for PS4 games; The Last of Us Remastered is a must-have if you haven't played the original yet. Bloodborne is another game I'd recommend. There's some cheaper games as well; Gravity Rush Remastered and Tearaway Unfolded can be both for $60 together; that's two great games for the price of one. I've heard Ratchet & Clank is pretty good too, but I haven't played it myself yet.

I have Uncharted 4 and it is excellent! I haven't beaten the campaign yet, but it is turning out to be awesome. My only compliant is that the multiplayer is lackluster in modes, but went under a complete overhaul of gameplay refinement which makes up for the lack of modes. It's great! Would you consider adding me if you got the game so we could play it together?

@Octane thanks for the reply ^^^

I think that the 2Ds is not that worth because it has a small screen and the size is very uncomfortable to handle.

Can you recommend any other games for the PS4? I have played all of them.

Dying Light, Until Dawn, Minecraft (Better with friends), Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, Grand Theft Auto V, Broforce, Earth Defense Force 4.1 Shadow of New Despair, Hotline Miami (be weary that this may be a bit short in terms of replay ability and how long it takes to beat the game), Outlast, and Rogue Legacy.

I think that should last you a while! 😆

@Malan Ever played Dishonored or Infamous Second Son? I have yet to play those myself, but they're decent games from what I've heard. Mirror's Edge Catalyst also released last week, might be worth looking into. If you already own a decent amount of PS4 games; then the 3DS might be a better option. Not sure how big the difference is, but I believe that the XL isn't a lot bigger in size. Mainly the screens, but the image quality isn't always better due to stretching.

We also have a PS4 thread if you're looking for more PS4 games: https://www.nintendolife.com/forums/other_gaming/the_playstati...

Infamous Second Son used to look interesting to me. I mean, it still does, but I watched a play through of it when I didn't have a PS4. It looks great.

@Octane I have played all of those! Thanks for your opinion though!

If you don't already own one, the New 3DS is worth getting. Awesome hardware and, if you don't wear thick glasses, the facetracking 3D works very well.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

Everything recent by Naughty Dog is a must-buy, The Last of Us most of all. I'd recommend the PS4 games, just because there's so much on that console and 3DS is... waning.

In terms of recommendations, Gravity Rush Remastered is great for some Mario Galaxy 1 vibes. And if you want a beautiful and fun 2D brawler, pick up Odin Sphere: Lsfsslalsdalsasl (you try and spell that).

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

@JaxonH Hmm.... About the 3ds, i have seen many people playing it and it looks bad in quality. Is that true?

@Malan

Define "bad in quality"?

I've always loved how most 3DS games look. Just gorgeous. 3DS games are some of the highest quality games out there. I mean it's a 3DS. It's not going to look like a PS4, or even a Wii U. The screens are not qHD like a Vita. Yes, you can see some pixelation. But despite all that I've always thought 3DS games look more visually appealing than many Vita games.

The art style works in favor of most games on the system. And then the 3D on top of that really makes the games look appealing. I mean, the 3DS is so much better looking than DS was.

I think the people who complain about 3DS expect every single game they played a look like a PS4 game. I can play certain retro games so 3DS games to me look very modern.

Unless you're super hardcore graphics whore, 3DS is fine. Maybe if it had all realistic games it would look worse. But the games look SO GOOD in 3D. They have a certain charm to them and just look good. Ya.

@JaxonH Took the words out of my mouth, really XD games like fire emblem awakening, kid icarus uprising and bravely default just look so damn impressive to me. when I turned the 3D slider on to the max while exploring a dungeon in bravely default it was simply amazing.
but even without the 3D, the 3DS games looks awesome. a lot more than DS games. and another good point you mentioned is that some of them have a really special art style- the drawing like graphics of bravely default, for example. looks really great =]

3DS definitely. It's not comparable to the PSP. Nintendo actually puts good exclusives on their handhelds.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

You will need to purchase a 3DS charging cable as well if you get the "new" model so factor that expense in as well.
