Topic: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D V.S Kid Icarus: Uprising!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is considered by many to be the greatest game of all time. It has a deep story line, a good soundtrack, and fun gameplay. The game is incredibly long, especially for a Nintendo 64 game. The 3DS remake even further enhances the experience. The game has also brought us Nintendo fans closer together, since we all share a special hatred for Navi.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is also incredibly fun. Unlike Ocarina of Time 3D, it has both online and local multiplayer, along with StreetPass functionality. Though this game has an incredibly deep story line, I'd have to say Zelda's story is a little deeper. Overall, both games are really long and will keep gamers busy for countless amounts of hours. In fact, I can't decide which game is longer! Even though Ocarina of Time has a longer story mode, Uprising has a bunch of extra features. They both have really unique villains. I think I prefer Kid Icarus' Hades over The Legend of Zelda's Ganondorf, as far as final bosses go. Kid Icarus: Uprising also includes voice acting, which I really like.

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for... It was an incredibly tough choice, but my favorite of the two games is... KID ICARUS: UPRISING! Please comment which game you think is superior. Thanks for reading!

I have a question for you, why make people pick a game that is "superior"? As you say each game is fantastic and each game is worth your money. There is no superior game, everyone has their own opinion.

DefHalan, I said, and I quote, "Please comment which game YOU think is superior." Both games are fantastic, but I want to hear what others have to say. Some may favor Zelda and others may favor Kid Icarus. There's know way to know for sure which one is the best because, as you said, we all have our own opinion. And I want to hear that opinion from others.

I have to ask; why try and compare THOSE two games in particular? They aren't really similar at all so it seems a bit strange to try and choose between the two.

Plus, we already know the outcome considering NintendoLife's community (the latter).

Yeah, I enjoyed both tremendously. But I think I have enjoyed KI:U more because it has significantly higher replay value.

I just chose those games because they're both 3DS games that are considered masterpieces. They both have complex story lines and, in many was, actually are very similar.

As much as I admire all of the passion and energy that went into making KI:U a fully featured game, I'm going to have to go with OoT 3D.

Ocarina of Time 3D easily and by miles.

Kid Icarus: Uprising was a fun game, but as a lefty with no CPP, it's a strain to play for me. Also, I enjoyed the more classic tale that OoT3D provided, over KI:U's wacky narrative (not that it's necessarily a bad thing, just not particularly to my tastes).

As for top 3DS game though, both fall behind Metal Gear Solid 3D, Tales of the Abyss, & Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, IMO

Going for Kid Icarus.

OOT3D got lazy with some graphic updating, there's obnoxious backtracking and some poor level design (especially in Master Quest)
