My friend was using Chun-Li and it was always "KIKOKEN!" and that other move. Also hated how effective her special move was.

I stuck to using C. Viper (I like her a lot), but when I switched to Cammy, I was mopping the floor.

Too bad I already lost 3 times online. I'm also scared of running into someone using Guile. "SONIC-BOOM!" "FLASH KICK!"

I am not a spammer! I like Ryu and others like him, but I don't have to spam to win

If we knew how small we were are problems wouldn't seem so BIG!

I dont play online with strangers because people will do ANYTHING for a win. Even if it means SPAM HADOUKEN OVER AND OVER. Thats why having friends who wont be cheap is the best method to play online.

Actually, those are newbs. Noobs are those who should know better but don't.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Not completely true. Some of us are born pro. Untitled

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

The only people who bug me are the people who use Guile, in simple mode, and spam sonic boom and as soon as you get close they flash kick ya' right after the sonic boom. There's a reason those were meant to be charge moves

Even, if it wasn't in simple mode, Guile is still a beast when he lands a good combo on you.
but, like it or not, Spamming is part of Street Fighter, and real Pros Spam Untitled

Yeah I ran into some that abused the hadouken, Yoga fire/flame and that one attack that Guile uses...However I've ran in to juggernauts that kick my butt fair and square.

I once, I think I grossed out an girl that love to use Chun Lee, she was very afraid to let me get near her with Hakan. That was her punishment for hadouken or whatever its called when CL uses it abuse. LOL...

I have been kicking butt as T.Hawk online and while I should be reaching the C rank by now I only have 440 BP because about 10 of the last 16 people raged quit when I shut them out in the first round...I hope Capcom added that feature that makes Rage-Quitters play against other Rage-Quitters like in MvsC3...That'd be nice.

Try this technique: If it's hadoken spam, keep jumping towards the other player and then use punches, kicks and blocks when you get close. Another technique is just to turn the whole thing off...

Almost every character has a move to overcome projectile attacks. Dhalsim and M. Bison (dictator) have teleports; Dudley has a ducking approach that evades fireballs; Cammy's Spiral Arrow goes underneath most projectiles; many others have their own projectiles.

Otherwise, learn to Focus Attack to absorb the projectile and dash out of it; this is better than a block (though not quite as good as the much-missed advancing guard!) as it lets you close in on your opponent. Bear in mind most Ryu players will use Hadouken at long to mid-range and Shoryuken at close range, so if you can Focus through the Shoryuken too you're golden. Don't try that against Ken though as his Shoryuken is multi-hit so your Focus will do nothing.

I've faced plenty of fireball spammers in my time and they think they're awesome at long range but if you can get close enough they're pretty rubbish. Good luck, guys!

It's actually not too bad dealing with Ken or Ryu....I use Hakan, if you're a full screen away, jump the first fireball to get to mid range, then use Oil slide to close the distance.....be careful if they block it, you will need to block a shoryuken or a spinning kick right after, but at least that will get you in range of them.....also, you can use Ibuki.....set Kunai to one of the Lite control buttons, then jump over the fireballs and throw kunai at them, when you land, throw a crouching H kick or throw them.....this strategy works well on Sagat too.......but Guile is a pain in the butt.....if anyone has tips on Guile, i would love that

I like to think I'm really good with Ryu, I have no trouble doing focus cancels to ultras etc. But the moment I play online I can't seem to achieve a single well-timed Hadoken or Shoryuken, nor can I even begin to try focus cancels cause it's lagging so much (sometimes it feels like AT LEAST 1500ms lag, I wish I was kidding about that) My internet connection is fine, and have no trouble playing my Xbox or Wii online.. Maybe for some reason it's an Australian issue with SFIVED cause even VS another Aussie seems to lag?

So long story short now days I play online with Guile with Lite controls, spamming easy combos, Sonic Booms and Flash Kicks. Sure it makes me look like a total nub, but oh well.

It annoys me because it's online. A perfect connection in a random match-up is a rare thing, and even a split second difference in timing is going to favor the hadouken spammer. I cannot tell you how many times I've done my lariat or green fist at the right time only for the input to go through later or not at all, and no one can honestly say that the guy tapping hadouken on his touch screen is the better player in that case. If I were playing in an arcade and could not overcome it, then yes, I kind of suck and have no excuses.

Also, in any play environment if someone beats you by hadouken spam, it is still no indication of who is better. Tapping hadouken on the touch screen repeatedly is not a skill, but evading it is (albeit a simple one once learned).
