Topic: Silicon 3DS Cases

Not sure if there's been something similar to this or what not. But I've been looking at this particular case and at £4.95 it seems to be a steal. Along with some scratches starting to appear I think it's time I got something to protect it before it gets any worse.

So has anyone else bought a silicon case and can tell me if they're worth the money or just a bunch of plastic garbage? If it gets the job done and stops scratches appearing I might just pick it up, thanks.

Again, sorry if this is a duplicate topic.

If you want to protect against scratches hard cases are usually best.
Silicone on the other hand can absorb shock,
A did not see a manufacture or a seal of quality on the product page, just to let you know.

Yeah, I was also wondering about it's legitimacy, but there's a lot of videos out on YouTube saying they got it from that website but even then that might not be true, gotta be so careful when you put your money on the internet now. >.<

I was thinking of a hard case but they're usually quite chubby and can't really put them in your pocket however with a silicon case they're usually slim and wrap around your console so they can sit in your pocket without putting too much more weight or fat on to it.

Only £12.95 too, not too bad and it seems it'll fit in your pocket. But I wouldn't want to let that hit the floor, it's too nice to let any scratches get to it.

I would recommend the Zelda one. It is a very good case. I've had mine since it came out and it's proven to be quite protective against small accidental falls.

I prefer the silicone ones, because it has a nice grip and it keeps the screens separated when you close the system, and yeah, I've dropped my system a couple times and it's been fine so far.

Nerf or gtfo. won't fit in your pocket though

The problem with silicone cases and cell phones is that dirt is sometimes trapped between the case and the device so that scratches can form and there's no way the dirt can get out so it just keeps getting more and more scratched. But YMMV.

I'm not sure how genuine this case is, but it looks like a similar design to the Legend of Zelda "Crystal Case", which will protect your 3DS from scratches like nobody's business.
Dropping it, though? You're better off with a silicone case...
On the other hand, thanks for the link! I've been looking for a clear case similar to the aforementioned Legend of Zelda one.

Samehere, I like the Silicone one best. The Zelda one seems to busy or something in my humble opinion.

Before this case I had eye on a Hori silicone case.

p.s. added you as well

That looks like one of the cases that was on the link I posted earlier. I don't like the 'tear drop' bit from the camera to the light, feels off to me, don't like it all that much.

I might buy that silicone case, however I'm juggling between putting more credit on my eShop account or buying this. I'm trying to stay within doing one internet purchase per month or otherwise my moneys gonna be leaving my wallet a tad too quickly.
