Does anyone know if you can gift games on the 3ds eshop like you can on the Wii? My brother's birthday's coming up, and there are some dsiware games that would make great gifts.

I guess you better just buy them eShop cards and let them do it themselves instead.
Same result without the surprise.

or you could take their 3DS and buy the games for them in the middel of the night, have them turn their 3DS on and see the presents on the menu.

Oh, yes, that's an AWESOME suggestion! I might try that sometime myself.

I remember that the 3DS would get a system update so that you could switch stuff to other 3DS systems.

It's a conspiracy, I tell you.

I think that's already happened. Though from what I've heard you can only use it at a limited amount of times. So might want to save that for when a 3DS Lite or something arrives.

I would find it awkward if I woke up in the middle of the night and found my friend hunched over in the corner downloading Urban Champion on to my 3DS.

This is a signature.

Poor Urban Champion! You people are giving that game a real bad rap. LOL I know I am in the minority here, but I like it. Pure retro fun Anyways, about the not being able to "gift" games in the e-shop... I never even realized you couldn't! What's up, Nintendo?!
