I never played any of those pushmo games. As these are puzzle there is probably no need to play them in order.
All of them have been positively received by critics.
Are the latest two entries the best? Am I missing out if I skip the first two?
Are all of them so much different that it warrants to buy them all?
My personal favourite is fullblox (stretchmo), as it has 3D levels, meaning you can push and pull blocks in any direction which makes for some great levels. It's probably the only one you need since you can make 2D and 3D levels with the level creator. Plus it's free to play (sort of) as you get a free tutorial. Crashmo would definitely be my least favourite of the series.
I'd say you can start with any of the games since all the 3DS games have different mechanics and puzzles. I personally don't like Fallblox/Crashmo that much and haven't played Fullblox/Stretchmo apart from the free tutorial levels but I love Pullblox/Pushmo.
My least favorite was Crashmo. The most recent release is gives you a a few free levels that you could try, and I think I found it to be my favorite entry anyway. Pushmo original (or World if you have a Wii U) and Stretchmo are also fun as well.
