There is no point in a game like this if they haven't got very comprehensive - Timeseal / Anti Cheat measures.
Surprisingly enough there is people who play online chess just inputting moves from a computer program. (Need some way of detecting whether that is likely and human review for when it is flagged).
Judging by other Nintendo games people who just quit if they are losing is worse than on say icc or fics. (If you do it too much then you automatically forfeit if you disconnect).
All the above things are necessary or it is a total waste of time.
Mobialia Chess is basically perfect.

Ya I was going to say that this is going to be cross platform, now would it be worth getting two copies?
I get the impression they haven't considered any of the important things related to cheating. (e.g Sandbagging - Playing yourself via 2 copies to artificially inflate the rating) or making sure nobody is just feeding moves in from a PC chess program or there is a trick I have come across where basically somehow people manage to do something that means after there being no lag for the whole game when they have a short amount of time left then there is some type of cheat they use so they get a free 10 seconds or something each time.

Everything I've read seems to indicate that the multiplayer is in "play by mail" form.
So it wouldn't involve two players sitting down and having an hour-long game. Someone could make a move, sign off, and come back to it the next day to see if their opponent has made their move. Games could last for quite awhile. And you can only do this with people who you have on your friend's list, no random matches.
Does anyone know if this is the case? If so, that's sort of disappointing, even with cross-platform play.
^ I'm playing it now on droid and it got tutorial.

It's free to play on droid but it's $10 to have all dlc and no ads.
I hate that stuff. The mobile market de-values games to such an extreme that devs have to give away their hard work for anyone to even look at them. I would gladly pay $8 for this on a real gaming device (Wii U or 3DS) just so those hard working devs can continue to make games.
