You're screwed either way if you lose your entire system, so that doesn't count, as for losing your SD card, you can just download it to a new one easily.

@BlatantlyHeroic: If you lose the whole system, you don't necessarily lose your game cards... and you can always buy a new system... but anything you got digitally is gone for good if you lose the system.

Stupid 3ds doesn't show 666. God, some one tell me what it is. Wait someone got the nat dex yes it's still here. I knew it would be. Logic... not all 700+ wou'd be in the local dex and how else would we see all the pokemon in their order. Take that society

It's kinda funny: usually, I'm a big Mario/Nintendo in general fan; but whenever a new Pokémon game comes around, I become almost exclusively a Pokémon fan!

...after that, I'll just go back to my basic Shy Guy/Fluttershy avatar.

The Kalos Pokédex has a staggering 450 Pokémon in it, and there may even be some extra ones we do not know of that get distributed via special events.

The list isn't entirely complete, there are still some missing here. Some of those may be new Pokémon.

Speaking of new ones, there seem to be not too much of them, unless it turns out there's a lot more after getting the National Pokédex, which doesn't really seem that likely. In Diamond/Pearl there were a lot of new evolutions of old Pokémon. Then there were a few legendary Pokémon that were new that you could only get after finishing the game. Legendary Pokémon might be a possibility for X and Y as well. The role of evolutions of old Pokémon, however, is now mostly played by the Mega Evolutions, with Sylveon being the understandable exception. The Mega Evolutions don't really count as separate species, just as alternate forms. They are like the two new Kyurem forms you had in Black and White 2 and have no separate Pokédex entries. All in all, there's only about 70 or 80 new Pokémon if you take away the Mega Evolutions. Unless there is still a few dozen new Pokémon only obtainable after you get the National Pokédex, this is really low compared to the 150+ new critters we got to collect in Black and White three years ago. There is still plenty of time you can spend collecting the 700+ Pokémon we have in the National Pokédex, but it takes away from the feeling of novelty that was one of Black and White's strongest points back then.

I really want larvesta, volcarona, petilil and lilligant to be in one of the local pokedex-es...

I personally don't mind 70 new pokemon, I think it's a decent number.
I mean they have to modell over 650 pokemons from scratch in full 3D.
However I am disappointed of the no national dex thing.

Well, I just hope they at least give many of the Pokémon not in the Kalos Pokédex some Mega Evolutions as well. In fact I would hardly be surprised if that's the case.

None of the Kalos poke's are getting Mega evos.

But I'm cool with the number and already have most of my team set going with
