you know... it's because it looks too... evil and angry. Fennekin and Braixen look less dark you know what I mean? it just feels wrong... going from light and pretty to evil and angry...

Pokemon Platinum is my favorite game of all time. I highly suggest you play it.

I've already cut fennekin out of the equation cuz of Braixen but this thing? Really? this is worst (in my opinion) fire starter nay starter. I think I would've liked it more of Fennekin ended fire/fighting maybe

I knew that there would be serious competition for which game to get. This is why I decided long ago that I'm going with Y, so that I wouldn't have to make last minute hasty decisions.

my choice was Y but then I saw the Mega X-clusives(sounds cool huh? ).... now I don't know anymore....

Oh, I'm so eager to look at all those links you guys are posting. But I'm gonna stay away from it, that's for sure. I WILL take a look at all the Pokemon though, when the official Pokedex is released on the net. I just want to know how they all look like. I'll try not to spoil anything for myself though, as to how they evolve and when etc. I want some surprises after all:)

What would mega charizard X shiny look like?

The only way I can express my excitement from Mega Charizard X is through horribly vulgar shouting. I'm SERIOUSLY thinking of getting Pokemon X now.. CRAP I ALREADY PREORDERED WHY THOUGH!!! D: NOOOO! ... ;____; ..well..my girlfriend is getting X...hopefully she likes Mega Charizard Y more..

Probably orange. Since shiny charizard is already black, it would be nice to hace mega charizard x to be orange and y to be black when shiny.

Comparison between the two Charizards in how they would do in battle:

Charizard X:

Charizard X gets a boosted Attack stat, with the ability Tough Claws, whilst in it's initial X Mega Evolution (there may be more to it than from what we know) the moves it can learn through breeding and leveling up can make it a hot head to be reckoned with such as Flare Blitz, Dragon Tail, Outrage, Dragon Rush etc. so if you want the Fire/Dragon no.2 then go with the.Physical oriented Charizard that gets a boost from the ability it's bestowed with.

Charizard Y:

Charizard Y may actually be.much better, or is, than Charizard X. How? It has an ability that can trouble Water types (although it will still get easily stomped by them) which is Drought. It will summon an endless Sunny Day then if you have Fire type attacks and some Grass type attacks (Solarbeam) they can do more damage under the harsh sunlight. Charizard Y is special oriented and Charizard overall is more of a Special oriented Pokemon from what I've seen and used and since this Mega Evolution gets a boost, it will be much more worthy. Heatwave, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Overheat, Solarbeam etc. are moves thag Charizard Y can do life threatening damage to it's opponents if it has these moves in it's moveset, which aren't difficult to learn, really.
Whichever you find better is up to you. Personally, I find Charizard Y better (Drought + Sp.Atk + Moves although Fire/Flying is a God awful typing.)

@Marakuto: Fire/Dragon ain't that great of a type combination come this generation, either...

in my opinion one of the worst type combinatios is Water/Flying.
there's also Water/Rock(or ground) and Grass/Bug any combination with double weakness sucks, really...
