Topic: Pokemon X and Y

Okay I gotcha, that all makes sense. And yeah I just got him last night, so I really have no clue how to use him properly yet. I was wondering if aqua jet was really worth having, but now that you said that, I realize its really not viable at all. I also think I need to find a tank for my team. All my other guys are decent attackers, but I don't really have anything that can take hits and wall for me. And yeah I went to check out his previous learned moves and he doesn't have hidden power. So I'll have to figure out how to fix that.

Do you think its possible to come up with a viable healing strat to go with Keldeo. Cuzz I've noticed his attacking is nice, but he can get one shot really easily. So I'm trying to think of a better way to keep him up, or at least feed him heals throughout a fight. I guess Vaporeon/Espeon with wish could work. But I'm not 100% sure, I'll have to mess around with ideas.

So yep, the final vivillon pattern is the fancy vivillon. According to serebii:

I hate myself . . . I just looked up the shiny form for ninetales and ampharos and now I want both of them . . . after spending days hatching eggs to get a 6IV vulpix and mareep with perfect nature and ability and now I'm about to start all over again . . . and the best part is I can't even gurantee myself a shiny one of each . . . . I HATE THIS GAME . . . . but yet I love it so much . . . . >_<

Uhh anyone have a Dragon friend safari? I just realized I don't have a single dragon type out of all my safaris . . . failure.

He's ment to find a switch in oppertunity, and then nuke something with hydro pump or one of his coverage moves, and then switch out of there into a wall or something before he gets murdered by something (and talonflames do not make his life easy). So.. wish support specifically just for keldeo won't be a good idea.. a switch in to his counters would be.

And no.. what I mean by hidden power (TM btw..) is every pokemon has a different type of hidden power based on their IVs.. take him to the hidden power judge in anistar city and see what it is. If it's a bug or ghost type hidden power, (he gives you the tm btw) then teach him it. What nature is he?

If your ditto is foreign and you completed the pokedex and got the shiny charm you'll have a 1/400 chance of hatching a shiny.

Also just warning you don't try to hidden power aegislashes if you go that route.. they'll still live, activate weakness policy, and then one shot you with shadow sneak next turn maybe even sweep your whole team.

Thing is.. I want a female so here we go again -.-

Oh my gosh,... I just hatched my first ever shiny in X version.
I was seriously convinced that it was never going to happen, took a total of 4,756 eggs.

I'm breeding Fletchlings to get a six IV one for my team for regionals (which is today, maybe it'll be my lucky day) and this girl popped up, biggest surprise.
First thing I did was check her ability, and of course the game trolls me with a Big Pecks one.
That's actually good though, because now rather than rotting in a box (she has imperfect defense anyway) she can stay in my party forever and help me hatch more shinies.

Is there any use for flame body talonflame in general? Maybe a physically bulky set with leftovers? Or choice scarf? Talonflame is already stupidly fast and other priority users risk a burn.

Felt like using less common pokemon so I'm making a weird new team with… Pangoro!

Flame Body Talonflame doesn't sound too bad really, it's just that Gale Wings is so amazing that I don't think anyone would ever want to use a Flame Body one instead.
Not too many things would be outspeeding a Jolly Talonflame with max Speed investment so Flame Body could sorta work.

On one of my last battles, I faced a defensive talonflame with will-o-wisp. Since I wasn't expecting it, took me a while to get it down. But I dont think it ran flame body, as priority roost recovery is better to wall things.

Wow! I finally did it! I just beat someone 6-0 with Mega Venusaur. I sweeped him. Never switched!

Not exactly 31/31/31/31/31/30.. but only 2 IVs off in speed is still ok.. (3 off from perfect 31) especially on a choice scarf user.
I'm extremely happy! Just that I can't say I bred a perfect 6IV pokemon with the highest possible IVs for a hidden power xD

Got a 6-0 from an average (maybe even below, LOL) Baton pass team.

Out of the very few matches in doubles I had, I've seen talonflames run will-o-wisp before.

I've also seen a weird weakness policy set..

and numerious leftovers sets (probably for recoil)

Just to put my mind at ease, and maybe we can console each other...
Has anyone never managed to breed a shiny? I've been playing since Pokemon Red/Blue but never bred competitively till XY. I've hatched over 1500 eggs in X so far and never got a shiny. It's not the end of the world or anything, just interested

5BMW-WWWW-WWW7-HTFL - Reuniclus is scary if you let that jello setup. Has Magic Guard which means it can't die from burn or toxic damage, nice bulk, access to Calm Mind and Recover.... It gives me chills.

Suppose I should explain my absence. I made the decision to not play video games for three months in order to focus on more important things (been going since April). I keep getting notifications from here so I figured I'd tell you guys. I'll be back in mid July, or maybe earlier I don't know...

Bottom line, I'm sadly out of the battling scene for a while yet.

Many shinies hatched. Remember your odds of hatching a shiny pokemon are 1/4096 (reduced in gen 6). With masuda method which is basicly breeding a pokemon caught/hatched by you with a foreign pokemon from another country.. the odds of hatching one are greater. If you have the shiny charm (complete the national dex, all pokemon (excluding event ones) must be registered.. then the prof gives you it) AND use masuda method.. your odds are around 1/400
