@Tsurii Personally, I think they are great developers, for the most part. It's hard to put out a game almost every year that contains hundreds of hours of content and pleases fans, no matter their interests or playing style. So far I've been seeing mostly very positive reactions from fans.
@Araquanid My friend always says that trying for a Shiny never gets you anywhere. The Shiny comes when it's ready.
@canucksfan989 If Oricorio can die in a small dark hole, then I don't know what will happen to Virizion from B2W2. Hardest Pokemon I've ever had to catch; even though it had very low HP AND was paralyzed, I must've thrown hundreds of Ultra/Timer Balls (all attempts total) before it stayed in the Ball.
"You feel it? Fawful is also feeling it! I am needing to feel it even more, though!" - The magnificent Fawful
@LegendOfPokemon I gave up on Beldum think i threw 20 plus ultra balls at it then a bunch of timer balls was borderline considering the masterball i still have. Later i googled and apparently it has a catch rate of 3 so it's going to take a lot of luck
Finished with Melemele island did pretty good Pokedex wise Alola is 44/48 and Melemele is 43/47 missing Petilil(Moon) Misdreavus(Night) Gumshoos(Just need to evolve Yungoos) and Psyduck (Need Surf)
Pretty sure i got all the TM's that i could get 7 out of 100 right now my Moon version is a lot closer obviously 70 plus out of 100 i think i got 10-15 i need to buy still
@Joeynator3000 I'm pretty certain i have a red Oricorio on my Moon i could offer up for whatever i remember that one being easy to catch compared to that yellow bugger that will forever remain in a box
@ELI-ASH I notice the hp bar takes it's time when it's close 0 i always think Pokemon i'm battling is going to have 1 hp left but then slowly fully drains
@canucksfan989 Its especially more annoying with certain Z-moves.
It looks like decidueye's signature Z move just tickled you, then the animation goes on longer and the health bar keeps dropping and suddenly an additional 10% of that is gone when you go back to the normal camera.
"oh wow my aegislash didn't even get hur- wait a minute ok so it was a 2h- and he's dead..."
Magby was really annoying me. I was trying to capture one, but it kept summoning more friends into battle, giving me very few turns to throw balls, which it kept breaking out of. Plus the sand attacks and fire spins and burns due to flame body were quickly crippling my team, so I eventually had to flee without capturing one.
So far, the summoning backup pokemon mechanic just seems really annoying for wild pokemon. Its cool for totem pokemon, but it's just annoying for wild pokemon if I'm trying to defeat or capture them quickly. I don't get why they added it to ordinary wild pokemon.
I wanted Abra and I basically could not get him without using an ultra ball so I did because he kept teleporting away even before I could really attack him, maybe dumb of me but oh well. I noticed though you can capture more if you just put the ones you want to sleep.
Probably one of the simplest things they could do to fix the SOS problem is let you catch a Pokemon even if there's two on the field. Honesty why is "impossible" to use Poke Ball if there's two wild Pokemon? Why isn't impossible for your Pokemon to use a move on a single wild Pokemon then? You logically should be able to pick which one you throw it to.
I can't think of a single good reason why they have this rule, but it makes trying to catch Pokemon even more of a chore if a Quick Ball isn't working. If it's really that big of a deal to them, they could make the Ball's catch rate halved or something.
