Topic: OG 3ds xl no power/charge

Ok I have tried to search this but came up empty (maybe I’m bad at it.)

So I bought a 3ds xl that won’t turn on or charge. It’s the blue X/Y unit that is in pretty great shape otherwise. I was hoping it was just a bad battery but I was wrong

So let me catch potential experts up with what I’ve checked. I have swapped the battery with one of the other units. I know this battery is good and charged because I tried it just before swapping.

I tried 3 chargers to eliminate that

I did continuity tests on the F1 and F2 fuses. The F2 fuse is much smaller and didn’t test right (near 1000 reading) but when I tested another functional unit, it came back the same. So I think that’s good.

That’s what I checked and now I’m looking for what I should check next. I’m pretty skilled with the soldering iron and I’m not afraid to do any of that if it comes to it. I also have a doner PCB that’s bricked that I could pull part off of.
