Why there are multiple placeholders of games presented on E-Shop, yet none of them can be bought?
I'm talking about the games like Chrono Trigger or Zelda and Castlevania series?
Any ETA on when they will be available?
Well, judging from the two DS games that have been made available on the 3DS (an Advance Wars in Japan and Wario Ware Touched)... It seems they need to be converted to DSiWare first, which runs directly from a limited amount of internal storage (256 mb).
So the heavier DS games would be impossible if they go beyond that amount of space, and you'd only be able to have one or two games loaded on your system at once. And that's without counting your other DSiWare.
That's the thing, for whatever reason it seems anything DSiWare must be ran from the internal storage.
They could do like with WiiWare and have a system that automatically sends the game from the SD card to the console and backwards, but they haven't done it for some odd reason, and I doubt they'll ever implement it.
But isn't the 3DS backwards compatible with the DS? Most likely they won't be available, except certain cases, since you can just pop in the cartridge and play. Same thing with Wii games in the Wii U.
