Thanks abgar for confirming my suspicions.
I was trying that when we practiced in the park late yesterday, and it seemed to me that I was getting Dido's attention.
Then I thought I was imagining it, as it doesn't say anywhere that is a way of attracting your dog's attention, but now I'm certain. It actually works quite well, and avoids people thinking you're crazy talking to your 3DS in a public place
The other thing that made me chuckle yesterday was seeing in the video, about the Mario room posted by wobee, that piggy banks need to be broken to find money inside. I had a piggy bank given me as a present, couldn't think why I'd need one and so I sold it for £10 at the second-hand store for extra food money.

One thing Abgar forgot to tell you was if you want to train them to give you the disk right away, you need to pet them whenever they bring it back.

Oh yeah petting them before taking the disc is recommended, but you shouldn't do that on contests, because it's time consuming
And you can do that with pretty much any fetchable item, too!

piggy banks are great, i got 30 dollars from one the other day.

i guess i will sell that crown. i dont like it. my dog looks much cuter without it

O_O That's awful! I admit I think my dog looks better without the crown too, but I'm not going to sell it! I would never do that to my dog, we worked much too hard for that crown!

does anybody know if there will be even cooler new rooms than the mario room?
i almost have the 4000€ to buy it, but i would rather have a warmer looking room. like darker and with more wood. can i unlock something like that? like a zelda room?

Doubt it. All the easter eggs in the first party games so far have been Mario-themed. There hasn't been a single Zelda reference yet.

and as for other rooms? is the mario room the last unlockable?

I unlocked the Mario room last week, and I haven't unlocked any more since then. I hope there are a few more rooms to unlock, I want another space room!
Does anyone know when Nintendo is going to start giving out special items through Spotpass?

Well, in the original games you could unlock 5 new rooms, the last one being unlocked at 40000 trainer points!
I'd like to assume that nintendogs + cats includes at the very least 5 unlockable rooms.

Nice, they were in the originals too. and they were the only real exlusive items on the games (you could only get a character on each version and they were unique to that version).

Everything that gets unlocked by trainer points counts all your dogs and cats combined. :3

They looked really cool! and cost 3000 each plus bought all three and driving them around they spin when cat dog hits them hehe
