Topic: Multiple DSiWare Titles Have Been Removed From The 3DS eShop

I found this out on Reddit and the poster was alerted by Twitter user @comeoutpunching. I checked myself to confirm and it's sadly true. If you search for the titles in question, they are still listed but you cannot purchase them as they are "currently unavailable". Apparently, all of the titles removed were released before the May 2011 if that makes any sense.

Here's a list of some of the titles that have been removed:

• Asphalt 4
• X-Scape
• Aura Climber
• Zenonia
• Spotto!
• Mighty Flip Champs
• Escapee GO!
• Dr. Mario Express
• Mr. Driller
• Soul of Darkness
• Legends of Exidia
• Spin Six
• The Oregon Trail
• Glow Artisan

Honestly, this really upsets me. I had many fond memories of playing Spotto! on my brother's DSi and X-Scape was a game I also wanted to get around to finishing. I can only hope they have been taken down temporarily but I can't help but feel that they will never come back to the 3DS eShop.

Ah some of these were really good. Sad to see them go unexpectedly. Not the first time DsiWare games get removed though.

I suppose not many people are purchasing DSiWare anymore. So I suppose people should buy those they wanted before it's too late.

@Eel I guess I'll stock up on those Game & Watch games. I'll also take Dark Void Zero on the way out too.

Dang I was kind of interested in some of these like Zenonia. I can't exactly claim I didn't have long enough to buy them, but still, I would have expected there to be some warning before they disappeared.

Edit: Actually it looks like these games are still available in Europe (or at least some of them are; others don't come up at all when I search for them, but I don't know if that's because they didn't come out here at all or had a different title in Europe or something). In that case maybe I'll buy some of them soon in case they get taken down here as well.

I only have 1 DSi ware game (Animal Boxing).
But i already have Animal Boxing NDS in cartridge.

I just noticed Lego City Undercover 3DS is un-buyable in eshop, but I dont know if it has always been like that.

Maybe it's a good thing I bought Need for Speed Nitro-X again on my 3DS and New 3DS XL. Here, I just originally bought extra copies hoping to use the two 3DS systems and my DSi for multiplayer games, and just to have it on my 3DS systems (on my DSi, but I missed the transfer period).

I don't know if Need for Speed is removed, it's just the last DSiWare game I bought.

Looks like a few of the games have been relisted now. That combined with the fact that Europe seems to have been unaffected by this makes me think that it's just some kind of rights renewal or something. Hopefully all the games will come back in due course.

Go buy Plants vs Zombies and the original version of Risky's Revenge before they're gone again!

Update: Almost all DSiWare titles have been reinstated. Grab Aura Aura Climber and X-Scape while you can.
