Topic: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Discussion

Any experienced hunters here? Just wondering if you guys know if Crit Draw and Affinity attacks can trigger at the same time. If not, which one has priority?

For example, if I have a negative affinity weapon (like Barroth weapons) and Crit Draw, can the reduced damage from the negative affinity proc trigger on the draw attack? Does one negate the other?

A lot of forums I've checked seem to have conflicting answers.

As far as I know, they trigger at the same time.

Hey I just started and have no clue what's going on. I think I got my 30 resource points to junior but now I don't know what my mission is. Can someone help a novice? Please.

I will be getting this game for Christmas and based on the reviews and videos I've seen of Monster Hunter 3 I am excited as hell to finally be able to play it.

So I haven't played the game in a while, and I booted it up today. I looked at my counter and saw it had an urgent quest. Unfortunately for me, it was the Mark of a Hero quest...

Man I need to play this game some more. So much fun killing monsters... Recently got up to High Rank and obtained the Wroggi set. And if you're thinking "wow, he's slow" it's because I accidentally deleted my Wii U save data and so started a new file on the 3DS version. And since I reached G Rank on the Wii U and obtained most of the G Rank armours and weapons my enthusiasm for the game has kinda waned a little bit.

On the bright side, this'll be getting me ready for the controls on MH4 so I can jump straight in and get killing. Thankfully it'll have online... so lonely playing on the 3DS version.

Finally reached the last Moga low rank quest... man, I shouldn't have tried it with a bow...
should I use my Rough Edge(Switch Axe with Dragon Phial) or is the DLC Long Sword, Tenebra, better?

Switch Axes are fun, that'd what I'd choose.
In terms of which is better, I don't use Long Swords (not a fan) and have no idea.

well only one way to know! I'll use the Switch Axe first if it fails I'll go for the next weapon(I have too many ^^' ), if all fails I'll hunt some monsters to get more new weapons(or upgrade my Rusted Great Sword I heard it becomes an awesome weapon starting from the second upgrade)

Going to take on Jhen Mohran now. I remember in Tri I call my friend to help me out on this one online, just to rank up, but we got our ****** kicked instead. It finally took a group of 4 to repel Jhen. Anyway, I'm going to start my quest now.
