So I got this, it seems like a very strange game to me so far but is it really just worthy of a 2/10 as it was given here on NL? What do u think?

I think it's a very flawed game. Not worthy of 2/10 since it is still fun to play in a sense, but it has little challenge and difficulty varies a lot. There are far too many glitches and little challenge in the actual platforming. Apart from that it's just very very strange...

After playing with it a bit more, I do see some flaws, but the bizarre nature of this game is good enough of a reason for me to have bought it, I guess. There seriously is nothing like it out there LOL and there's probably a good reason for that

I'm considering picking it up later today myself, just to have a go. Looks like it'll be interesting at the very least, and $3 isn't so much I suppose.

Meanwhile Grumble, you buy all the VC games, don't you? If I'm not getting too far off-topic, I've always been curious as to why. I'd love to do the same.

You're very right about that. I DO buy every single 3DS VC game, mostly because I'm a huge retro Nintendo fan and I also own the original GameBoy Color, a GBA, an original Nintendo with over 200 games and an Atari collection, as well. When a game is released on the 3DS that is from 'the good old days' i grab it immediately because i am fairly certain it'll be a gem of some sort This game was less a gem than all the others, thus far, but it's still a good little game I also like to support Nintendo's efforts in bringing games to their new portable hardware (3DS, etc) because a lot of these games haven't been released since they were originally released and seeing (for instance, Minish Cap) up as a free download for us ambassadors was a huge win for me since i loved that game so much. Hopefully more great games will follow!

I admire your dedication to Nintendo.
Also your huge pile of money.

Huge pile of money? it took me nearly my whole life to build my collection I already have, and the new 3DS VC releases are only 2.99-5.99 each and they very seldom come out at all anymore, so it's not out of anyone else's reach

This is one of the weirdest games I've played. It does seem very glitchy like its was never finished. All that aside I kinda like it. Anyone else feel like they went overboard on the boss explosions?

This game is just downright TERRIBLE. I mean, if you could have enemies in the air, do less damage to enemies, get more damage done to you, then it could have been as good as Avenging Spirit. But no, they had to mess it up. Even more confusing on why the Japanese version has a better plot, and better music (Still ridged with Glitches though...)

I'm so tempted to get this just for messing around with all the glitches.

Being the glitch lover I am, don't. The giltches will more than likely drive you nuts, and unless you really like confusing glitches, you probably shouldn't do this game.

What I don't get, is why they released it in the first place on the 3DS VC, and why Jaleco suddenly turned into HAMSTER after this game came out in america.

I think Jaleco had been doing so poorly that they probably sold themselves to Hamster. I recall some story about the owner selling the company for only a single yen.
