I always play as my Mii. I'd like to play as Lakitu for once but I don't like his stats though. If I had tip lay someone else probably Metal Mario, I think he is the best Heavy,

I got it by racing with Gyro controls ON while racing in First Person View. (btw - you HAVE to have Gyro controls ON but you can still use Circle Pad to steer).
I'm assuming it was 80 races (that's what the intarwebs tell me ... 80% of your races must be with these settings).
Oh, and I got it by racing OFFLINE. (So, you don't HAVE to be racing online to get it).
These questions have plagued me all week. I'm glad I finally know the answers.
OK - so my Gold Steerin' Wheel has suddenly disappeared. I haven't stopped racing with Gyro ON in First Person View. I'm not sure why it's back to the normal wheel. I'm going to keep racing with these settings and see if it comes back.
OK - got my Golden Steering Wheel back but racing 20 or so more races with the same controls. I never turned Gyro OFF nor left First Person View. Strange how it just took my gold wheel away and brought it back suddenly. My guess is that it eventually just goes away and you have to keep racing to get it back....???? D:
The only golden piece I have is the tires, and I don't like them. I expected better out of them.I try to use them sometimes, but I just don't like their handling. I think I use the standard wheels more than anything else actually.

I just saw the most sickening thing ever. I was playing online and waiting for a match, so I was in spectator mode. I was following a guy was in the back who then used the Maka Wuhu glitch to steal a first place spot. I find that quite rotten.
I don't know about it being my all time favorite Mario Kart, Its definitely the best handheld game in the series so far. I would say the only ones that I like better personally are Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart Wii, they're just more fun to play.
With your MK7 cartridge inserted into your 3DS, go to that tile/slot on your Home Menu. Instead of clicking A to load the game, just blow air onto your Home Screen and watch Mario spin around!!!!
Anyone experience any hacker problems online yet? From my experience, it's been really good, but I think I might have possibly raced against one just before. I was in second place on DS DK Pass and the person in front of me had no items according to my bottom screen. Then someone fired a spiny shell, and they activated a star and avoided it which seemed a bit suspicious. They then ended the race in third place which is strange. Then in the next race they had a big lead the whole time, and seemed to be unaffected by another spiny shell. I left after that race.
Hopefully Nintendo can manage to block the hackers from connecting because I'd hate to see Mario Kart 7 get ruined like the DS and Wii games.
That's because it's really bland and its controls are slippery. It was my first Mario Kart and I loved it but now that I've replayed it via ambassador program, I can see why it's underrated.
