You still didn't fix the spelling error in your signature (that's what I was referring to). Oh well.

If the 3DS has not been discontinued SM3DL and MK7 are awesome games, but if the 3DS has been discontinued Sony has taken over the world. It is not true that both Sony has taken over the world and SM3DL and MK7 are not awesome games. Therefore:Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 are...

Ok, real talk... MK7 is ridiculously unfair -.___- It's really fun but really, what's the point in workin' so hard to win when there's Blue Shells n' Lightning?? Just to have some random person win when you clearly a better driver than everyone else there, lmao. (it ain't just Blue Shell n' lightning though)

I think blue shells are only helpful to the guy in 2nd place. Seems like whenever I pick up a blue shell I'm near last place, so I never benefit from it. But I'm sure it helps whoever is in 2nd place.

That's true Victoria. But it can help a person in the back if there is a pack in the front and it takes the pack out. You can potentially go from 6-8th to 1-3rd.

Has anyone else ever held a blue shell until they're in first?
No one passes you and you get a free win

That doesn't work if the 3 players right behind you all have mushrooms though.
Actually, one other benefit of holding a blue shell in first is that no one else can get one, so you don't have to worry about them.
If the player in 2nd doesn't have a mushroom, it's quite satisfying to let them pass you a little bit before the finish only to blow them up at the last second, knowing full well that it was their own fault for not staying behind you when they could plainly see on the bottom screen that you had a blue shell.
Players who don't check the bottom screen often would do well to learn their proper place-last place

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

Here's a quote from a GameFAQs FAQ on the subject:

Stat Brackets

This is a pretty obscure kart customization mechanic, but the stats of your kart act in "brackets." By "brackets" I'm referring to ranges. Basically, all the stats within a range (the bracket) have the same effect while racing. The brackets are...

Classification

Stat Range

Low

0.75-1.5

Mediocre

1.75-2.5

Moderate

2.75-3.5

High

3.75-4.5

Very High

4.75

Extremely High

5.00

Insanely High

5.25

Insane

5.50

NOTE: It is impossible to get a stat below 0.75, or above 5.5.

That means that all stats that fall underneath the same range will have the same effect on your combo; an acceleration of 2.75 is the same as an acceleration of 3.25, regardless of the bar change. However, this bracket breaks down once you reach above 4.75; small increments will result in small differences once you pass that threshold. Because of this mechanic, I would recommend you build your combo around these brackets; only force yourself to make choices, so that you reach the minimum of the range. It would be a waste to have a combo that puts you at a speed of 4.5 (the top of the "High" range), and an acceleration of 2.5 (the top of the "Mediocre Range"). You would rather have your acceleration be 2.75, and your speed 4.25, if you can switch around your parts to do so. However, I wouldn't recommend obsessing over the "perfect combo;" certain stats do not matter (like Air Speed, Stability, and Water Handling), so ignore them when swapping parts. If I were to prioritize any stats over any other stats, I would focus on Land Speed, Acceleration, Water Speed, Land Handling, and Offroad; all other stats are less important than these, and come up much less often while racing.

I would also like to note that the bracket difference for speed is less severe than for other stats. Whereas acceleration levels are easy to discern, speed is much less noticeable. It can take a full five seconds for a kart that is one bracket above in speed to be a kart-length ahead of the kart that is a level below. Even for a kart that is two brackets above another combo, it still takes two and half seconds to get a kart-length ahead. You may want to take that into account when deciding to drop a level for acceleration or land speed; or, for that matter, handling or land speed.
