Wuhu Loop 2 has a neat looking shortcut that goes through the castle. I almost want to go back and play Wii Sports Resort's Biking mode to get an idea of what I can expect from the courses. I'll probably compare them when the game is released. I wonder how similar they will be.

It could be it's called Loop 2 because it is based on a "Loop 2" from Resort's biking or Fit's running tracks.

Mario Kart 7 for 3ds looks amazing cant wate until it comes out on the 2nd of December.

I actually went through the "course" we'd be going through presumably in Pilot Wings Resort on the Cycle Glider. There's a black road which is what we'll be driving on in Woohoo Loop 1 and the dirt road, obviously in in Loop 2.

Had fun going through to see. I also like how the theme for those tracks is a pseudo remix of the Wii Sports theme. But I feel like loop 2 particularly will be dead... Maybe it's the just the video, but I kinda like chaos and Loop 2, from what was shown seems too relaxing. It's a good thing, sure.. Well, I can't pass judgement because I haven't played it. But yeah, 3 weeks.. hopefuly I'll have a job by then to at least get this game.

Yeah, I liked the music in the Wuhu Loop 2 as well. I think the camera angles were bad in that video of Wuhu Loop 2. I would think when actually playing, driving along the cliffs and seeing Wuhu town far below would be exhilarating.

And in 3D

Would be cool if the Wuhu tracks are based on your 3DS clock. Racing at night must be beautiful, because in Pilot Wings Resort, it sure was.

Yeah, that is a great idea. Wuhu Island is beautiful in a different way at the three different times of day. If you could drive at evening and night, that would just be awesome. We at least know Wuhu Town will be at night.

Nintendo should do that for all stages. Playing Daisy Cruiser at night would be cool.

I'm surprised that Wario is an unlockable character as he's normally there from the start and I hope Waluigi's absence from this list doesn't mean he isn't in it. It would be weird if his course was but he wasn't.

I think its just speculation. The references on the characters don't confirm that those are the unlockable characters.

I'm still pretty disappointed in the character roster. I was looking forward to Shy Guy, but I can't stand his noises, and I was sure they would put Dry Bones in there. If the roster was similar to Mario Kart Wii (or had the same number of characters) I would be happy, but I suppose I can just play as Koopa Troopa or Luigi. :T

Check the wiki's citations. If there are none, then it's baseless. The game isn't out anywhere, and there are no reviews yet. There is no way to know for sure. A final character roster would have hit major Nintendo sites.

Ah right.. So I guess it wont be based off our 3DS clock. I think battling in Wuhu Town will be very fun. Gotta wonder if you can get on top of buildings.

I remember staying at high places in past MK games and just tossing shells around below Always got a hit.

and I'm guessing you're restricted to the central part of town. Wonder if you can go in the Basketball court or if they moved the hotel with the pool over so you can hide underwater

I'm definitely looking forward to Mario Kart 7 as I'm truly enjoying Super Mario 3D Land right now!

BUT, if it's true then RAINBOW ROAD from SMK will be a retro track!!! I never thought this would actually happen!
Although, they cited the official Japanese website as their source but as far as I can tell it doesn't say anything about the Special and Lightning cups...so don't be dissapointed if this turns out to be false.
EDIT: the person who wrote the article says that he got a chance to play the Special and Lightning cups...lucky barsteward...
