lmao
All over YouTube the "DS Pros" are talking about how they're gonna wipe the track snaking everybody
Then get put down because everyone tells them snaking isn't in the game!

And who would know? Even if someone played a demo, they have no idea what will be possible with unlockable kart parts. In MKDS it wasn't very useful to snake with most karts but it was very easy with Poltergust and Egg 1. It always depends on the kart.

What is the Aladdin-esque stage called? It looks gorgeous!

Actually, in the same NP interview where it says unlimited people can join a community, it mentions that drifting in MK7 is the same as in MKWii, so that may or may not solve that problem.

Exactly.

They probably will at some point.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Yuck, MKW's drifting is so boring.

Real men feel no pain.

(And there's a circle pad now, so it's a moot point.)

Yeah, drifting in MKDS is indeed better on the 3DS, so it could return, i suppose.

MKWii's drifting solved a lot of the problems the original drifting mechanic caused. You can focus on racing without having to do 150 minturbos each lap. And no, just like MKWii, they aren't allowing snaking in this game. Snaking is a thing of the past now. But haven't we already had this discussion?

Doing 150 mini-turbos a race is a skill, not a problem.

Snaking is possible in MKW. I posted videos. They did not say it is disallowed in the new game.

The mini-turbo originated in MK64, and there was no snaking there. MKW offered a lazy solution to what is not technically a problem. I have no problem with removing snaking, but having the mini-turbo charge automatically removes a fun skill from the game.

Like I said before, even if snaking is possible in MKW, you would be a fool to do it. You have to wait to long to get the spark to show since it shows up faster the sharper you are turning. So anyone snaking in MKW would be in last place. Problem solved.

Agreed. I loved the mini-turbo.

Like I said, I posted a video. It's not a huge boost, but it gives a better result than not doing it. There is nothing to argue.

And again: This has nothing to do with snaking. Go snake in MK64 and then tell me MKW's approach is the only solution to the "problem." You can't. It's impossible, and the mini-boost works the same way.

If it doesn't eliminate snaking (see MKW video posted earlier) and there is a way to eliminate snaking without this approach (see any MK64 video), then the matter is: Do you want the game to drift for you, or do you want that skill to remain?

You act like it is a skill, but it's not. It takes no skill to pull off a mini turbo in MKDD or MKDS. I've played a heck of a lot of MKWii to know that snaking is pointless in that game. And if MK64 had such great controls, why do you consider it the worst MK game? Do you want those controls back?

I never said it had good or bad controls. I find the courses to be horrendous aberrations that should not be spoken of (slight exaggeration).

Boosting is obviously a skill. I didn't say it was super duper advance technique. Walking is a skill, or babies would pop out of the womb and go for a jog. I happen to enjoy that little skill — I see no problem with my personal preference.

However many hours of play you have does not change the fact that I've posted a video comparison of snaking and not snaking. If you want to argue, go on Youtube. It is a pointless argument if you refuse to look at evidence.

Not that I am trying to shove snaking down your throat (couldn't care less if it's included or not), but you brought it up again even though the discussion ended several pages ago. Manual mini-boost does not automatically mean snaking (nor the other way around) — I was just saying I prefer the old means of mini-boosting and that it is not confirmed snaking is impossible. Even if you don't think it's advantageous in MKW, it is obviously possible. There's no reason to assume it won't be both advantageous and possible in MK7 with certain kart configurations. The auto-boost may work faster than in MKW, we don't know.
