career mode

But Mario Kart has always been an arcadey series, and I fear that a career mode will inspire nintendo to make the games more realistic.

I just thought of an even cooler idea: Battle mode without teams! There is huge potential here, guys, I just know it.

As long as they get rid of the..._{thunder cloud}...it'll be the best game ever. I dont really mind blue shells that much. And they should make capture the flag.

I don't know why they removed the option for free-for-all in the first place. It makes no sense. It's been with the series since 4-player was introduced.

One-on-one was still technically possible in Wii but not at all fun because of the ridiculously ginormous (and not to mention boring) courses. Hopefully they at least offer a mix of stage sizes, though I'd rather all small courses.

I hope this one is a bit of a challenge like Mario Kart Wii. Mario Kart DS was way too easy in my opinion.

A Battle Stage in the shape of a Nintendo 3DS. If the GameCube and original DS got Battle Stages modeled after them, why not the 3DS? To make it even more fun, have the top screen spew out hazards ocassionally (to symbolize the 3D function of the 3DS).

Also, bring back Paratroopa and Petey Piranha as playable racers. This might be the most obvious idea of all, but I have a feeling that Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, and Wario will be in the game for sure (duh).

It would also be fun to be the Bob-omb Kart in Battle Mode after all 3 balloons pop. I also agree with Adam, Battle Mode shouldn't be with teams. Bring it back to the normal rules from the Mario Kart titles before Mario Kart Wii and we will be good to go!

Mario Kart does not need to be realistic. As a matter of fact, no game really needs to be realistic

EDIT: They should have another 3D mode where instead of just looking at the kart, you could play the game as if you were in the Kart! Like a First-Person mode!
