Topic: iPhone 5 will Officially Kill Off the Nintendo 3DS‎

The 3DS is failing right now, more than any other reason, because of smartphones and tablets offering compelling gaming experiences. And when the iPhone 5 launches in the next several weeks, you can expect it to officially kill off the 3DS. thats what slashgear said (troll bait)

People that buy gaming devices and want a 3DS will buy a 3DS when games come out they want. iPhone 5 will get the people they get every year and a few more youngsters getting their first own smart phone. iPhone 5 is irrelevant.

The iPhone is not a gaming device.
It lacks in quality games with enough substance to be able to call it a gaming device in my opinion and without physical buttons it will never be able to produce an experience as good as any dedicated gaming device.
All the iPhone is is a phone that happens to have some games that you can pick up and play for a few minutes.
Just like phones from years ago that had Snake... I'm sure that was never a threat to the Gameboy or anything.

While I can see some people passing over a 3DS for an iPhone, there is no way it will kill the 3DS. Sales of the 3DS will pick up once we see more software released.

well they arnt that well made, and you HAVE to use the touch screen witch doesnt work in any of nintendos real games believe me I played iPhone Pokemon Crystal... yuck.... and not to mention the music sucked as well

while the iphone may have some good games on it, they dont even compare to even a 64 game. even though they ported rayman 2 for iphone, the controls are worse.

People who actually want to play handheld games will buy a gaming console, not a phone. People who are bored buy phones that play breakout clones and scrabble.
