Before characters like Pikachu I think it'd be more realistic to want characters that are actually plausible...like Waluigi or Baby Mario/Luigi or Paratroopa...or like you mentioned, R.O.B.

It would be nice to see some DLC from Nintendo, though I probably wouldn't buy anything but new tracks, and even then having those would narrow down the people I can play online with to those who bought the DLC.
Eh, unless it adds new features, I'm not really in to DLC anyway.

They could always restrict the online track selection to the ones that all the players have unlocked, although that would mean you would rarely get to race on the DLC tracks when playing online..

I'd hope that DLC would open up the option to customize your characters with items like Cowboy Hats, Holiday Costumes and the like. I'd love for their to be a track editor so you can design your own tracks.

anyways there was something mention about dlc for custom parts for the game as for the tracks probably wont happen or it could but i dont see anything in the game so far that opens up to that unless a dlc update opens up a new menu for it
They should add Sonic characters and rename it to Mario Kart 7 & Sonic.
