Topic: HELP - New Nintendo 3DS Freezing

I hope someone can help me. I have owned a "New" Nintendo 3DS for a very long time. Unfortunately during that time I have been unable to use it because after a period of time ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes, the system was freeze up entirely and will not recover. Even when attempting to do a system update when I eventually get to the screen, it freezes.

Does anyone know if it is possible to do repairs on this system at home or what I can do to try troubleshoot this issue?

@SeanG The best thing to do is contact Nintendo and set up a repair.

@SeanG My guess is, that sounds like something in the hardware may have gone bad.

Nintendo of North America support lists some 3ds models they no longer fix, but I don't know if that includes the the newer "new 3ds" models. https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a...

You can probably find youtube videos for most repairs or teardowns. Or, if it's a difficult repair, you can search your area for local game stores that deal with retro consoles or console repair. They may offer 3DS diagnosis & repair.
