Topic: Help-controls reversed

My son let someone at church play his 3ds xl in Smash Bros. Now, his c stick and d-pad do not work properly. D-pad does jabs and c stick does tilts. He is asking me and I surely don't know. I would appreciate some suggestions on how to fix this.

Have you tried checking the controls menu inside the game?

Should be in "options".

He has tried. The issue is he cannot use c stick for smash attach or d pad for taunting. He can no longer do taunts at all now.

Does the controllers work properly for any other game? I would try another game to make sure it's not the buttons themselves.
