with no DLC?
'cause I have no access to the DLC, main reason I gave up on both lunatic mode and fighting streepass teams....

I played Casual for lunatic. I don't think I ever beat it though, but that's just because I lost interest by my 3rd time through.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

The trick for Normal and Hard Classic is to grind. Normal makes it super easy to grind, you basically buy more money, but you might want some DLC if you're gonna grind on Hard or higher.

The trick is to not play the draconian Classic, where you are punished for being stupid and punished for being smart.

How are you punished for being smart? The only part I liked about Casual was I could make strategic losses, and send a unit to their death to draw attention away from another unit.

IDK, maybe only in Lunatic, you're punished for being smart with nearly impossible critical hits that kill Frederick and make it impossible to go on, not to count those times you miss a 98% chance hit while the enemy hits you with only 30%......
I'm not sure why but it seems that the unlickiest things always happen in higher difficulties, as if the percentage was rigged or something >.>

No idea, I find it grows more tactical as one goes.

I have a question guys: I am at chapter 25 (so almost at the end), but now I realize I have missed a lot of side-chapters because my females didn't marry! So far only Sully (my strongest character) has married (with Chrom). Is there any way to speed up the bonding, since I guess it will take ages to get all the S ranks. Also one character can only marry one character, right? And does it matter if Robyn is a male or female? Mine is male.

I don't know what difficulty you are on but assuming that you don't have DLC, you could keep fighting weak Bonus Box teams or random Risen battles with your units paired up until they reach S Rank. If you have any seeds of trust, that`ll help too. Also, the only difference between the Female/Male Avatar is that their child (that they can only have) will be the opposite gender (and of course the gender specific classes like Warriors for Males or Dark Fliers for Females). And yes, one character can only marry one character so choose wisely who marries who (whether you just like the characters being together or you want to have efficient and strong children).

@Henmii if you were using female Avatar I'd recommend to marry her to either Chrom(to get two children) or Donnel(Morgan will get both Avatar's power and Donnel's useful skill) as far as I know male Avatar can marry anyone, really(I only use male avatar but married Lissa in every file, because Cleric + Strategist = high magic potential without having Owain lose his sword skills, I like magic units)
a good way to grind are the bonus box teams(kinda.... though I heard that in Lunatic they only give 1 exp) but the risen are better to get exp so if you're in Normal difficulty don't hesitate to buy reeking boxes(they're really cheap on normal)
and try to make the units become at least decent before recruiting the children, this way they'll come stronger right off the bat.

@Henmii - Do Sumia first, she only has a few marriage choices, where as the others are more flexible.

Lunatic and Lunatic+ definitely reward you for intelligence. They will punish you if you don't approach the levels tactfully. Hard and Normal, far less thinking involved. Towards the later chapters on the lower levels you can just have all your units run ahead with virtually no plan at all.

A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.

Thanks for the advise guys! I think I'll battle some bonus-box teams.

One unit gets singled out for death. Every enemy will bypass (not joking) your other units to target this one, then crit him to death. Even a certain S-rank pair gets slaughtered no matter what strategy I use. Explain how I'm supposed to counter this

Casual mode eases the burden of rotten luck that no strategy can counter.

Try getting him or her that has major luck and def/res bonus and wish them luck???

It may be stupid but you can also try keeping the next to eachother, but separate so it's harder to surround this unit...
Please forgive me for being a FE noob, I only played 3/13 of the series. :/

You can try assassination. Have a assassin that gets super speed and luck boost, and take out the enemy dangerous to the one you want to protect. XD
(no, this is not a real suggestion, only a joke)
