So, there are already units that uses the tree original basic weapons. Will there be a class that uses magic, dark weapons, and bows instead?
Double post because I'm too lazy to edit.
There is a dedicated class called "Weapon Master" that can use axes, lances, spears, and hidden weapons.
Apparently no one here has yet mentioned that changing classes (NOT classing up) does not reset your level.
So, if every base class learns a skill at level 10, each unit can only learn one.
And, no, you can't go from advanced classes back to base classes like in Awakening.

Good. As power-hungry as I got spending 100 hours grinding in Awakening, this will really help with balance, especially if online is expanded. Getting your castle invaded by someone with a full party of maxed out stats and all the best skills would be no fun at all.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

More characters and such.
And the Parallel Seal allows you change from Promoted Classes, to Promoted Classes.
E.g. Parallel Seal to swap from Maid to Brave Hero, Bow Knight or Strategist. This implies the unit has access to the Mercenary (-> Brave Hero/Bow Knight) and Rod Knight (-> Strategist/Maid or Butler) class branches.
So looking through that, did I see the first(?) instance of a female Fighter (previously a male-only class)? I heard there can be guy Pegasus Knights as well.

I'm really torn on all the changes that have been announced so far. Some of them seem alright, but others feel like they are just for the sake of changing things. I'm still looking forward to the game, but I need to see more footage before I'm completely sold.
I hope they keep some of the unique class trees for different characters. The male and female differences worked quite well in Awakening cos they made you try out different combinations. The imperative for male characters was to get the counterattack thingy (can't remember what it's called) that returns the damage and the imperative for female characters was to get the 2nd turn thingy from the bird horse.

You mean Counter () and Galeforce?

Intelligent Systems must've heard all the praise and love people had for relationships in Fire Emblem: Awakening and are expanding on it. I'm totally fine with it.

Lol, do you think anyone wanted the bathing scenes and rubbing of partners? I bet they didn't. I bet they just have some pervy guy on their team who secretly wants to be making anime porn.

I'm pretty sure females are only capable of getting Counter through the marriage system. By passing the ability down.
And Dezzy! We don't want to be reminded. XI

Anyway, I'm interested in the artstyle again. The three new "Nohr" characters. Benoit is out "Hard Rock" but "Pure of Heart" on the inside guy is that great, underrated guy . Nyx, a new Dark Mage, is what Tharja should have looked like. Not sexi'ed up to much, mysterious, and makes me much comfortable with what Fire Emblem is becoming now. Even Charlotte (The fighter mentioned above) is passable for me, with her secret desire to be a gold digger. And Leon looks like Marth.

I doubt the town-building would take up too much space. I think it is more likely that there are a greater number of high-quality cutscenes than FE Awakening, which are better quality video. If we look at the trailer, the graphics are also higher-quality than FE Awakening, looking closer to the pre-rendered video. The game is also larger even if you buy one version, hence the greater size for the download version.
I'm sure a couple of people here will make this mistake so before anyone asks, no that's not Awakening's Severa. Though the two look really similar, that girl is apparently named "Luna".
