I've just realised Scarlett can only build up conversations with Corrin/avatar, that's annoying as I've been using her to carry Ryoma and my other short movers across the map and it would have been helpful to have her build pair bonuses.

@jump Same thing goes for Gunter......honestly, she's not that great to use. You're better off using Rinkah as she has great defense if you want an axe holder....or you can just use Subaki who will only be useful for a certain point.

Btw, what difficulty are you playing in Birthright? Cause if its the lowest difficulty, Pair Ryoma with someone and just look at an almighty god who can trash everyone without the reliance of any other unit! I'm dead serious here.

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

I like Scarlett though plus I want to use her as she's flies without being yet another Pegasus Knight.

I'm on classic mode.

@jump I asked difficulty not mode......but yeah, I think you're fine playing Birthright on Classic.

A fair warning. If you are using Kaze, then you need to get your Avatar to support conversation to the A at max because if you don't do it before chapter 15, he will leave your party.

Don't tell me things like that please. I always play without a guide on the first run and on the 2nd playthrough I will go for max stats and all possible units gained.

I'm already passed that point anyway and had them at A rank.

@jump This isn't really a spoiler but rather an inconvenience actually. I didn't reveal any plot points here and only warned you as such that this unit will go away if you didn't get support A. If anything, I was trying to help you here since the game doesn't warn you of the consequences that are bound to happen even outside of the main game.

Also, if you already did it, how is it a spoiler?

I didn't say it was a spoiler, I was simply asking to let me experience the game un-guided.

I think training Mozu is definitely worth it if you're willing to grind a bit. Thanks to her skill Aptitude (which is a skill only she and her child gets), she gets a whopping 10% added to all of her growth rate percentages, making her useful for pretty much any class (except for magic, but I'd have to double check on that). You can either class her into the Merchant or Sniper class trees and have her become an archer that I've heard rivals the likes of Takumi in strength, or you could use the Partner Seal or Friendship Seal to give her even more options (I.E.: Spear Fighter from Oboro, Knight from Effie, Cavalier from Silas, etc.). All in all, Mozu is a lot of hard work (I've only trained her in Birthright so far, I can only imagine the nightmare it's gonna be training her on Conquest), but if you stick to it and put in the time to train her up, she is, in my opinion, one of the most rewarding units in the game to train and use.

Mozu requires little to no investment at all if you pop a Dread Scroll on her. She becomes a tank, and quickly too. By the time I reached the infamous Ch. 12 map in Conquest there was no way I was gonna reclass her to archer, so I reclassed Nyx instead.

Just did the lava river chapter, on my 1st attempt I managed to completely trap my units in the burning lava before I figured out the trick to it. That just feels like the game is trolling me.

A little question; do any PAL eshop owners have a block count for all the available parts of the game? I've got about 12500 blocks still free after downloading the game but before purchasing the other path. Do I have enough for all of them?

If you've downloaded it then both paths are on it as after the 5/6 chapter you'll decided which one to play, you are only paying to accessing the other one.

@The__Goomba - I think that's right. The only way to play Revelation right now is through the special edition.

I've played quite a bit now, and I am at the point where I can promote my characters - particularly my avatar. I have a question though.

Seeing as you don't go down to Lvl. 1 on promotion, are there any benefits to holding off from promoting your characters? At this point, I can promote my Prince to a Knight, then a General/Mounted Knight in one go.

The in-game guide says "Units at higher levels will learn a lower-level skill of their new class each time they level up" - does this mean you can get all the skills for any particular class, provided you aren't too high a level (assuming the level cap is 20 like it has always been)?

I agree. I popped in Awakening the other day, and realized just how drastically different they are.

@edhe if you switch classes before you are level 20 then you can get stats more related to that class (more defence for example if you become a knight), but it is recommended to at least not promote into an advanced class until level 20 so that you get more stats. Otherwise you will probably need to use an eternal seal once you reach the max level of the promoted class which can become expensive. I would personally recommend waiting until you are at least promoted to switch into a different class so you won't use as much heart/partner/friendship seals. Also I prefer to wait until level 15 so that I can get all of the skills in my current class then on the next four levels I can get all four skills from a different class.

It may be more expensive, but could also get you more skills is switching between various classes after level 10 on a base class to get the first 2 skills up to 20, promote and continue to do so up to level 5 where you get your first promoted skill and then again switch every three levels. It is a lot more complicated and would be pretty expensive however.

@edhe

If you promote you will actually go back to level 1. Sounds like you're describing other seals though, like a heart seal or friendship seal. With those, you don't go back to level one- you simply change your class. And depending on the level you are at when you change your class, you will gain skills that you missed in the new class every time you level up... until you're all caught up with skills at your current level.

So if you are level 17 and you change class, you'll get the Lv 5 skill when you hit 18 and you'll get the Lv 15 skill when you hit 19.
